Almost forgot diesels for emergency power at hospitals and other critical facilities. Remember the Heathrow brouaha? All wanted to blame W or S, but diesel saved the day.

Also mentioned that diesels are the primary source of power for indigenous Americans in Alaska who can't rely on W&S when the sun was gone for 6 mos. He didn't like that either. 38 for '18 Subaru, 14 for a '68 GTO. Improving all the time.

Reminds me of an LI disc long ago. Guy was opposed to diesel engines, especially marine. Claimed it was an obsolete tech. Had no alternative.. I mentioned HP/LP turbines of yore which used bunkers were an ord of mag dif in eff. His response? "C'mon Kevin!" My Subaru gets 38 hwy!
