Unpopular opinion: Pure EVs should have precedence over PHEVs at public rapid chargers. I don't wanna see your hybrid combustion machine blocking the rapid charger with its 17 kW DC trickle charge while a *real* EV is waiting.

Oh, that's hilarious. This hydrogen fuel cell vehicle needed to be transported on a flatbed to show it off it at the NZ Golf Open in Queenstown because the entire South Island of New Zealand has no way to refuel it. You can't make this up. 😂

Once you own an electric car you REALLY notice the stench of old fashioned combustion technology. Similar to when smoking was banned in bars & restaurants, it's hard to imagine someone next to you lighting up a cigarette while you're having a meal today. That's ICE cars in 2024.

This is a HUGE 100% battery powered tug right here in New Zealand. We went head-to-head with a dirty diesel tug in Auckland harbour.
The planning, filming & editing took WEEKS and the finished result was epic, but sadly Twitter's Algo Rhythm decided it sucks. 😭

Got some more photos from the dude in China who upgrades tired old Nissan Leafs to new 63 kWh CATL batteries. He uses the same battery casing with only a few millimetres difference in height. It's such a shame no NZ companies are offering this.

I love that this thing automatically started refuelling itself while I was asleep, using cheap, renewable, off-peak electricity.
I know this phenomenon is commonplace now, but I will never stop being amazed by it.
