This is easily fixed. Make sure you have enough energy storage and/or use grid forming inverters. That is, it's a matter of poor planning and design rather than what type of generation you use. When I see somebody like Bjorn making comments about renewable energy generation,

Spain is now openly worried about voltage swings caused by renewables Although they tell us Spain's blackout wasn't because of renewables, "the conditions that led to it may be a persistent problem for the stability of Spain’s power network" Oops https://t.co/DtphGNzaOm

During the gas crisis, the EU spent €1.8 trillion on fossil fuel imports - €930 billion more than it would have paid pre-crisis. To secure its energy future, the EU can cut fossil imports by accelerating electrification, using homegrown wind and solar. https://t.co/SrtK2hW3r5

In my opinion we need to tax fossil fuels more to pay for this adaption. Those that use them and refuse to make any effort to switch away from them should pay the majority of adaption costs. That’s common sense. https://t.co/275Ub3OjEk

China's coal imports fell 3% in September, and are down 11% year-to-date. Fossil gas imports fell 8% in September, -6% year-to-date. Net oil imports are up 2% year-to-date, 3% in September, and oil product exports are rising fast in October, indicating easing demand.

Rounding to the nearest hundredth of a percent — 0% of Earth’s surface is occupied by solar panels. ~10% of electricity comes from them though.

The replies to this post prove my point. All trying to create doubt about the reality of global warming. Not one has answered my question of whether the planet is warming cooling or staying the same. To scared to answer it seems 😅

The real story here is how far the fossil fuel lobby group will go to cast doubt on global warming and human induced climate change. The world is warming rapidly due to the emissions from burning fossil fuels but they want you to think differently Never trust them on anything.

Excellent thread highlighting the importance of Chinas achievements on clean energy and the direction of travel. Post it in response when you see the usual suspect post their primary energy charts.

Since tweets like this continue to travel and I get similar responses every time I post something positive about China, it's maybe good to point out where China's progress on clean energy is and isn't world-leading and/or game-changing. 🧵
