Fossil gas is down 23% v '24 & 42% v '23.Solar up 18.2% v '24 & 47.4% v '23 .Wind up 2.9% v '24 & 3.5% v '23 .WWS up 6.7% v '24 & 15.9% v '23 .Batteries up 64% v 2'4 & 213% v '23 . WWS would produce even more (wiping out more gas) but big hydro is down 10.6% v '24 & 12.3% v '23.

Gasoline, diesel, and all other petroleum products plus fossil gas and oil (all wasteful energy) should and will be shunned, just like cigarettes because of the death, destruction, and noise they cause. Public nuisances.
This is just what we need, but even faster. Vietnam setting bans on gasoline motorcycles next year (in downtown Hanoi), followed by cars. Ultimately, 72 million gasoline motorcycles will be banned, plus gasoline cars.

Those promoting CC+DAC (thus blue H2 & electro-fuels) pretend no energy diff between fossils & electrification, so no prob continuing fossils. But by keeping fossils, they prevent big demand decreases & increase CO2 by using RE to run CC/DAC, preventing RE from replacing fossils.
So, why would anyone make wasteful energy even more wasteful by adding carbon capture equipment to it or spending on direct air capture rather than simply using efficient energy?. There is no good answer to that question.

My new name for fossil fuels:. Wasteful energy. and for electricity provided by WindWaterSolar. Efficient energy. Why? It's simple. Using WWS electricity for the same purposes as fossil fuels reduces end-use energy demand 54% worldwide.
