"Quite honestly I thought someone's dad would come down there and yank this man out of our locker rooms."
If I'm being honest this is the way I think about this stuff. Why isn't some girl's dad going off the rails standing up for his daughter and bringing an end to all this
@Rothmus
Not sure how anyone survives without an in home printer. Between things like "paperless billing", taxes, documentation for any number of things, I find it essential. I get that it is a frustrating piece of equipment to own though.
@sentientist
Since this is the first time I've ever heard of that in 66 years I'm guessing it's not really "many" women. I'm guessing many wome have never even heard of it either. Usually comments surrounding childbirth are centered on pain.
@pmarca
Prediction: It will be replaced but only as part of a multi billion dollar port improvement project that will take 10+ years with multiple cost overruns.
@SteveWps
Agreed dropping anchors is correct procedure and the sharp change in course points to that. However the frontal picture of the ship shows no anchor chain coming out of the hawespipes. It certainly could have all run out with final link breaking off of chain locker wall though.
@notlouisck
Pretty easy to see he's a conservative. Either by his command of civics and what it means to have a democratic society or by his repudiation of the other legislator who thinks non governmental recommendations should be listened to over the will of the public.
@JoshuaPHilll
Bright and articulate young woman. Let us all hope that she uses her capabilities for good. It is not always easy to see what is the comparative good and more importantly how best one should comport oneself to see that good realized. I DO wish these kids were a little more well
@wokal_distance
She is making an argument in favor of misinformation while in other clips talking about the need to censor misinformation. She can only be talking about favoring some narratives over others and I'm guessing hers will the ones that make it to NPR.

The problem with moving to a new smallish town is, there's always something everyone else there knows that you don't know YET. Usually you're not too pleased when you learn of whatever it is.
@CaitlinPacific
My mom had certain issues with feminism because according to her it meant she "would have to come down off her pedestal". I'm glad she never had to see how far down that has become.

Asians leave last night's remaining rice on the table overnight. Usually covered by a fly/mosquito screen but sometimes not. They'll eat it with breakfast, cold.
@KeenanPeachy
My daughter has just recently spent $6k dollars on an 8yo large dog whose breed has a 9 year average lifespan. My opinion on the matter didn't gain much traction. But here's the bigger issue that confronts us all:

What does a prof who teaches Constitutional Law on this campus do when he sees this sig? When he talks to his class? Does he set his students straight or does he keep his head down?
@BeijingPalmer
@SCOTUSblog
The court could overturn Roe and abortions would still be legal in all the jurisdictions lawmakers have made laws making abortion legal. It's not really a Constitutional issue.
@eigenrobot
Didn't know that, never saw it before. How many millenia did that take? It's a rare human that has a survival instinct so strong that it becomes incoded in their DNA. We're probably not going to make it.
@Liamjsm
When I was a kid applicants for jobs at the State Patrol had to be 6' tall and possess a "military bearing". That prevented a lot of "I was in fear for my life" shootings of suspects.

My realtor says current rates are historically pretty good and you'll be happy you bought now should they go up and you can always refi should they go down.
@RealJamesWoods
I'm one of the thumbs up guys. That's my way of telling you that is the limit of the engagement I want to have with you. I'm sure others feel the same and I guess I'm going to have to be the one to tell you.

They acused him of being a conservative as if it were akin to being a child molester. The audience heard him and that's what counts. It was funny to see the hosts disturbed by the audience applaus to Coleman's message.

I love the irony of Norway being an example of a Socialism paradise. Used to be the poorest contry in Europe till they struck oil. They owe everything to oil but the same people who are climate change extremists hold Norway up as a shining example of what we should aspire to.

In Thailand, where transgenderism is much more prevalent than it is here in America, though for different reasons, the society created a "third gender" classification. It works and no one seems hellbent on changing the nature of reality and shoving it down people's throats.
@clairlemon
@MsMelChen
It's bigger than that. Mentally ill people living in the streets have access to free healthcare. They need halfway houses for those who will accept treatment and sad as it is to say some institutionalization until they can be released to halfway houses and ultimately self care.

Hopefully it's to encourage ethical teachers to renounce these methods. There are not many dissenters within the teaching ranks currently. Just teachers who leave the profession.

@drvolts
This is the way. Used to be way easier when the Edmunds Guide told you exactly what the dealer paid for every car and their cost for trim packages and extras. You add a $1,000 bucks to it and the get on the phone and find it. Edmunds even told you what they got kicked back from

The sweet spot is passing out enough drugs so the population is docile but not so much that they OD and you lose the grant money. El Chapo should give a TED talk on this.
@HeidiBriones
All that stuff is just a roundabout way of justifying why a husband and wife making $800k/yr don't eed their taxes raised. They're considered "middle class".
@AliceFromQueens
I don't think it serves them well to insinuate everyone who is considering voting for the other party is a fascist. It's a poor strategy IMO and will likely lead to preference falsification in polling and surprises on election night.
@Jacob__Siegel
Yeah, there's a whole parasitical network that surrounds the "homeless". A whole lot of money being skimmed off to keep people in tents till they OD.

Russiagate and Russian intervention aren't the same thing. Russiagate is BS. Russian intervention is their standard mode of operations

In America everything's about money. They're working an angle until a new more profitable angle presents itself. Nobody rational believes any of this woke bullshit but there's money to be made in it now, Same as Crypto or NFTs.

Remember a couple of years ago we were in a recession but everyone agreed to not call it a recession because it was temporary?
Have you noticed that almost every single economic metric is revised downward the following month when no one's paying attention anymore? That's why.

My sister was thinking of moving to NYC and was looking at condos. Beautiful units $250k-$300k, She couldn't believe it! I told her to check the HOA dues. Many of the units she was looking at had $8k/mo HOA fees.
@Acion_Next
Remedial courses should not even be offered in universities. There's no reason to spend $500/credit hour for a junior high school class.
They should be offered in Community Colleges however as so many people there find themselves in career transition. And CC should be free.

The core premise of his brand of anti-racism is that it pays very very well. If that ever changes maybe he will pivot to another brand that pays equally well.

The difference with the woke mobs and the anti vax mandate mobs is that the one depends on lies and power to push their agenda. The other uncovers other's lies and had virtually no power against establishment narratives, until now. Now the estblsmt. narratives are falling apart.

I did study Admiralty Law. The ship remains the property of the owner if the owner pursues a remedy and states as much. That doesn't mean they won't incur a debt to independent salvagers that pursue a remedy first. The ship's operators may or may not be the ship's owners.

In the liner notes to Biograph, Dylan said: “I liked Jimi Hendrix's record of this and ever since he died I've been doing it that way. Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it's a tribute to him in some kind of way.”

Because we sent our daughters to university. My daughters reported back that the first 5-10 minutes of every 50 minute class was the prof going off on a political rant. And neither one was in the humanities where I expect it would be worse.

I was born in the 50's. Educated in the 60's and 70's. I don't recall us learning about it in elementary school but it was certainly featured in both junior high and high school curriculum of that time.
I gotta say. Speaking as a lifelong Democrat, the people residing in the red states are much, MUCH kinder than the blue state people I interact with frequently. Not to mention more competent at practically everything.
@unusual_whales
What does that even mean if not taking networth into consideration? Some people have a $400k mortgage and $500k in their retirement account. Others are debt free and maybe $200k in retirement acct.
@RichardHanania
You don't seem to understand the difference between knowledge and wisdom. I would say non seniors are perhaps marginally more knoledgeable thann seniors. mstly in areas of little consequence. But there's a dearth of wisdom in younger generations. You are a good example of that.
