We live in a culture where too many are comfortable with changing the meanings of words, while retaining their emotionally charged echoes so that they can be weaponized and used to poison discourse.

The best part of social media is what happens in the comment sections when people falsify or omit information in their posts.

If people aren't willing to criticize their own "side", I have a hard time taking them seriously when they criticize the other.

Evil people rarely appear outright evil. Some of them welcome you warmly into their homes, are charming, and seem kind. But that's because they like you. How they treat those they don't like is where you see their true nature.

I don't know if Bari Weiss will do great at CBS or not. But I'm curious to see her try.

I really struggle sometimes. I'll read claims without evidence. It's in our nature to believe what fits our beliefs and deny what doesn't. I'm aware of many of my biases. But, the truth is so much harder to get to. Often impossible to verify. And so I'm left spinning.

New York was so scary, I don't know how I made it out alive.

When hope seemed fickle, there are those who showed up each day w signs. I can't even imagine what hostages endured as psychopaths cheered or justified it. And all for what? A "resistance" that has resulted in a large chunk of Gaza being turned into rubble & thousands of dead?

After 738 days in captivity, the hostages are finally being return. Just 20 are alive. Regular people, kids, mothers, fathers, young & old, were abducted, traumatized, many killed & others held w/ little hope. Today they are finally free.

I'm wearing sunglasses because then I'm a little less self-conscious and a little bit more mysterious. Lovely to meet a fellow curious scribe IRL.
