“I love the drive” said the human, fighting the deep terror rising in his throat at being trapped underground in a narrow tunnel with no emergency exits.

have you seen the food lines during this current pandemic? actually fuck the pandemic - one in five American children was starving before this pandemic even started. any answer to how that can happen in what is possibly the most hypercapitalist nation on earth?
@aherman2006
we know this was shot at the weeknd's house lol they probably called up the actors and were like let's quickly punk rolling stone we're gonna look so cool
@Name3309
I don't love this movie but I do miss when movies used to end on a nice slowly elevating crane shot of a mundane thing happening (car driving away, people walking, etc)
@BenjaminCrew1
best food service I've ever gotten was working on Hallmark movies, they went all out on a crew that would make unique menus every day and the food they made was excellent. Thanksgiving dinner was incredible

I’m learning that her videos seem to be a great way for shitty people to out themselves in the comments (and use shitty psychobabble to justify it). the video is her being nasty and rude to a bunch of strangers and all the comments are just like ya that’s me sis!!

my first job was a fast food gig for a husband and wife owner team. the husband put his elderly parents to work in their as well, so of course the four of them were this tyrannical crew that everyone feared and hated. never worked fast food again

if you look at the wiki list of bloodiest conflicts in history you realize that chinese history is this black hole of war where tens of millions of people died and no one outside those borders seemed to notice

regardless of who was in charge the economy was going to collapse during a pandemic, and tying people’s health insurance to their employment IS a systemic problem. Not everything is because of Trump

well he's most likely talking about the people in Starbucks corporate offices, who aren't actually unionizing afaik (like the research and marketing and sales drones who wouldn't be management) but are using as much wfh as they can
@lunch_enjoyer
not that I think this about smashing pumpkins (they okay) but sometimes a seminal and formative piece of media really only needs to be 1/3 good, like the Simpsons
@gun_toucher
do people in America not get national holidays as paid time off????
hell I don’t even mind working on holidays in Canada because I’m legally guaranteed overtime pay on top of my holiday pay, which equals 2.5x hours on an 8 hour day
@ohshidt
I can’t find a follow up to this, the only stories I found say the police are trying to identify him even though he’s already known as a local crank who everybody hates, how hard could it have been to find him

literally the first thing that RDJ’s character does is correct Oppenheimer on the pronunciation of his last name - he gives him a more Anglicized version of his Jewish surname. A Jews place in America is a very important part of this movie.

very creative writing btw. like how sirius black means black dog, even though he would’ve been named as a baby, long before his animal form was determined.

should be noted the last time the west participated in economic reconstruction in Russia it resulted in the sharpest drop in life expectancy for that region since WW2
