Thank you Davenport, Iowa. Great turnout last night. The people of Iowa do not want Trump’s massive cuts to Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, nutrition and education in order to give the 1% a trillion dollars in tax cuts.

LIVE: We’re in Davenport, Iowa for a rally. Americans are prepared to fight Trump’s authoritarianism. We will take our democracy back from the corporate elite and create a government that is of, by, and for the people.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett made a courageous decision by choosing not to compete against Rep. Greg Casar as a result of the disgraceful gerrymandering of Texas by Trump’s Republican Party. Lloyd is an outstanding congressman and friend. I look forward to continuing to work with him.

John Bolton and I have nothing in common politically. But last time I heard, in America, people are allowed to criticize the President of the United States without the FBI showing up on their doorstep. Just another step in Trump’s march toward authoritarianism.

The American people do not want authoritarianism. They want democracy. Too many Americans have put their lives on the line to defend our Constitution and our freedoms. We’re not going to let Trump and his fellow Oligarchs take it away from us.

The war in Gaza is not a political issue. It is a fundamental moral issue. Do we want to continue to spend billions of our taxpayers dollars starving children in Gaza?. I don’t think so. That’s not what this country is supposed to be about.

Congratulations to the people of St. Charles, MO for fighting back against a new data center that would use massive amounts of energy and water. This shows what happens when people stand up to unfettered corporate greed.

The most remarkable reality of the Mamdani campaign is how much the financial and political establishment fears him. They know that when he wins, people nationwide will be motivated to end oligarchic control of our economy and politics. We can do this! Please support Zohran.

Strong unions create a strong middle class. Trump, on behalf of his oligarchic friends, is at war with the trade union movement. He has laid off thousands of federal union workers, made the NLRB dysfunctional and illegally broken contracts with federal unions. Unacceptable.

Democracy is not some kind of “nice” idea. It matters to our very core, and is very much a life and death issue. Take a look at what is happening in Russia, where the dictator Vladimir Putin is responsible for turning an entire generation of young Russians into cannon fodder.

Red state or Blue state, the issues are the same. People don’t want oligarchy and tax breaks for billionaires. They do want a living wage,  health care as a human right, affordable housing and quality education for all. That’s the struggle we must wage in all 50 states.

This is how Musk and oligarchs work:. Get billions in subsidies from the federal government. Pay little or nothing in taxes. Complain about waste and fraud. Then cut federal programs that working families need. This is why we need a political revolution in this country.

There is only one candidate in this race who is standing up to a corporate-dominated politics driven by billionaires. That candidate is @ZohranKMamdani. And I am proud to support him.

The Mine Wars Museum in Matewan, WV reminds us that real change never takes place without struggle. The courage of the United Mine Workers in the central Appalachian coal fields at the turn of the 20th century was extraordinary. I learned a lot from my visit to the museum.
