@nikicaga
Step 1: It's not really happening
Step 2: Yeah, it's happening, but it's not a big deal
Step 3: It's a good thing, actually
Step 4: People freaking out about it are the real problem
@AshaRangappa_
Lol, you literally scoured your replies to find the best to dunk on and it still was pitiful. Take the L, get put on the list ✍, and try again Monday.
@geoff_eaton
Ok I will play ball: Will she teach material through a lens of hyper focus on "ideology" as the major restraint on "liberation". Will she teach about American society with an emphasis of examining culture through "power structures" rather than what was intended or actually said?
@egaliarchy
@Navy_Hipple
@DreamLeaf5
Sure - lets go point by point - first to OPs phrasing. There is nothing "wrong" with being conservative. Only people who find something "wrong" with that are captured ideologs. Don't get me wrong, there is political horse-race aspect of this where people are cheering. Get it.
@scottsantens
Naa, COVID called everyone's bluff. People prattled on about how if they had 3 months alone they would create the most amazing art/piece ever, but life just never gave them the chance. Then it happened and 99.9% watched NETFLIX and the ambitious .05% learned how to bake.
@wanyeburkett
Eh, depending what your circumstances were in 2019, the pandemic absolutely obliterated some house holds and mid twenty somes from breaking that threshold to the middle class.
@wil_da_beast630
Another way of asking this "what was your kronstadt moment?" - And good lord, the list is long - but I dropped out of my education masters course when my teachers response to mentioning Charlie Hebdo was "can you believe the cartoons they drew" on day of the attack.
@littleapostate
@limitlessleila
Don't get me wrong, the comments are bad and disheartening, but I have absolutely Zero faith in the justice system in several states.
@tomricks1
So what exactly are we parsing here? If you are hung up on the specificity of language, i would suspect your face to be blue with how many instances af which to howl. But if this is the only instance where this is a problem, maybe its a desire to side step an embarrassing moment.
@jzux
The pandemic is what will divide our generation. Those that had what you described above, and then those who promoted, continued working/saving, and got a house with a 3% interest rate. Its incredible the different experiences.
@tomricks1
@MrAndyNgo
@USWNT
You know you don't have to fall on every grenade right? I mean you can down play this, call it nut picking, or ignore it - what ever fits your fancy. But you Don't have to try and BS us with some kind of lofty diatribe about "tHiS iS aCtUaLlY sUpEr AmErIcAn"
@jodyvance
@redsteeze
With hindsight bias addressed: What action could have Donald Trump made, at the federal level, that would have changed the numbers - and please provide examples of countries of where it *has* worked and could apply to the US.
@DPJHodges
@ElijaWinter
@DouglasKMurray
Be humble, take the L and say something along the lines, "I see the point Douglas is trying to make. Its surreal to see the perpetrators of the Holocaust even framed in this way. That is what threw me off. But this observation just shows how evil this situation is.
This video alone is proof that the Hong Kong gov is not the "authoritarian regime" that Western govs and corporate media claim it is, and also that China does maintain its autonomy.
In the US police state, cops would immediately SHOOT all the "protesters"
@egaliarchy
@Navy_Hipple
@DreamLeaf5
And some will make joke-y comments fine - but there are enough captured people who legitimately see this as a moral failing on young men and should be "addressed", if not completely abandon them - which is disgusting at every level.
@educationweek
I can guarantee that teaching the curriculum to get their students to 100% reading, writing, and math levels for their grade level is allowed. Focus on that, get there, then we will discuss other topics.
@RealJamesWoods
Also, please go and visit the National D-Day memorial in Bedford, VA. Bedford and Roanoke VA have a deep connection with D-Day. Bedford lost more residents per capita in the Normandy landings than any other American community. 19 from Bedford were killed on D-Day.
@jmsleight
Ok, I finally watched the damn video. You all happy?
And yeah - It was just as silly as expected. Half of the video is fluff with talking about all the professions signed on to "activism" and what already exists in the way of treaties.
Unless she explains how to get China
Umm... Ice Cube tweeted out an antisemitic cartoon and then double downed and said it is exactly what he meant, while images of connections with Farrakhan go unsaid...but apparently twitter needs us to focus on Carlson? Hard Pass.
@michaelshermer
10 Random people off the street would have done a better job keeping him alive than the facility that housed him - I am not screaming conspiracy- but heads need to roll over this.
