Many responses claiming that breastfeeding is “free”, which is true if the mother doesn’t have or need a job. Otherwise, it’s a full time gig for at least the first few months.
A single can of baby food is $52.99-$74. Having babies in 2025 is not affordable. Prices are so high “I can’t tell if this is a joke or not”

Having said that, I feel like I learned *a lot* from the ensuing discussions and tangents in the Scottish Hatchet Girl firestorm.
I think the lesson is not to take any of it at face value, one way or the other, until much more becomes clear. We are just wasting our time with meaningless argumentation. Give it a few more days, and we’ll likely know for sure.

People will read this article where the guy is identified as a “Bulgarian” called “Fatos Ali Dumana” and his wife as “Fatos Yulianova” and take it at face value you’re all NGMI.

Not a paid post: This is a great book/series if you have preschool age boys. I scoffed when I first saw it (you say goodnight to bulldozers, etc), but they are charmed. The writing is good (nice variety of words + decent rhyme) too.

Hmmm.
@SarahTheHaider I feel we’re underdiscussing the massively disempowering effect the Parlamentary system represents. For all the hand-wringing about “muh electoral college is undemocratic!”, it’s not even close to the kafkian trap that is the Parlamentary system.

All jokes aside I would buy a book about the business behind Buc-ee’s, in case some reporter is interested. Unbelievable growth and customer enthusiasm, they are doing something right.
We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Buc-ee's. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our "Goony Beaver" will remain. At Buc-ee's, it’s always been – and always will be – about clean-ass bathrooms, jerky walls, and the kind of

Good post, I didn't grasp how deep the differences are between American and UK self-defense cultures. I wonder what else about our political cultures is downstream of this!.
Americans really are divorced from British reality. This girl isn't just casually armed with these weapons as a last resort against sexually violent 3rd world men. This is just the underclass in the UK. You don't casually walk around with an axe and a blade unless you are.
