Helping to keep Quality of Life and intersection enforcement a priority in NYC. Independent and not aligned to any party. Unfiltered. I tell it like it is.
Just saw a nurse crawl under the turnstile at the 86th St subway station. I call her out on it and asked her why she was evading the fare. She said, “I’m tired of paying and always watching others hop the turnstile. I’m done being a sucker.” My response, “Agreed.”
NYC is a welcoming place except if you’re Jewish, drive a car, a pedestrian who takes issue with lawless cyclists, are a moderate Dem or Republican, pays the fare, is a law abiding citizen, a person who detests the Congestion Tax, supports the NYPD, or loves the USA.
This city has spent billions to house and feed migrants. The NYPD goes to make an arrest and they attack our own officers. This is unacceptable and those that threw things and attacked the cops should be given a one-way ticket out of this city/country.
This is what happens when the court of “progressive public opinion” wants to cancel people based on small clips. More facts come out. The nurse paid for the bike. A lot of people will be owing her an apology.
A NYC cyclist just blew a red light on 1st Ave. and hit into a women with a stroller. The stroller fell over. The cyclist told the mom, “Next time don’t get in my way.” He then proceeded to ride away. This is insanity. People on two wheels are creating chaos on our streets.
The Progressive assault on cops takes another brave soul. A repeat felon with 21 prior arrests and repeatedly cut loose by the NYC judicial system kills an NYPD officer. The anti-cop narrative and agenda by
@NYCProgressives
is putting lives at risk.
I could care less if a politician is a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, etc. If you can’t acknowledge crime, and vow to be tough on criminals, you should have no role in public office because you’re a danger to society. Without safe streets, you get no perks.
Just now 3rd Ave & 84th. Ebike rider speeding through red light in the wrong direction cuts off a family crossing the street. The father yells at the rider, and the rider grabs his chain to threaten the family.
@JulieMenin
this is what peds are experiencing thanks to the redesign
NYC Bike Bros: “Helmets shouldn’t be mandated” “ I don’t have to stop at red lights.” “Traffic laws are for cars.” “I can ride on sidewalks.” “I can ride the wrong way because I’m not a car.” Same Bike Bros: “I’m scared of cars. They should be banned from city streets.” 🤯
My account is anonymous because the current political power class in NYC tries to cancel or extinguish dissenting opinion. What’s interesting is that progressives always say, “I want to hear what you think.” That is until it’s not agreement with their positions…
I’m just going to come right out and say it. If you are on public assistance and can’t afford food, a place to live, or the subway, you need not wear a $400 outfit with $300 sneakers.
A politicized police force is a threat to democracy. The NYPD’s well funded communications division can easily reach out to the Daily News for a correction. Instead, the administration is allowing their Chiefs to get into political Twitter fights. It’s alarming.
This should never have been a consideration for the city. Being a citizen of this country is a privilege. Being able to vote in this country is reserved for citizens. I don’t know what the hell some of these politicians are thinking. This isn’t some high school free-for-all club.
A cyclist just blew a red and knocked down a pedestrian on 2nd Ave & 83rd.
@DannyHarris_TA
of
@TransAlt
said, “Building protected bike lanes will improve behaviors.” Well Danny, 2nd Ave has a protected bike lane and the behaviors are worse than ever. Shame.
Question.
@NYPD19Pct
are you guys going to patrol the bike lanes and start ticketing the red light runners? One cyclist blew red light just now and two pedestrians yelled at him. He turned his bike around challenging them to a fight. This is getting absolutely ridiculous.
Hi - New Yorker here. I’ve safely ridden the subway for 23 years and my child has never been menaced by a half naked lunatic, but these imaginary monsters in your head are addressable with therapy.
I literally can’t stand the
@MTA
. I’ve been stuck on a 5 train for 1.5 hours. The trains are disgusting, delays as always, and yet they want to steal money from drivers who want to avoid this rancid system with “Congestion” Pricing. You can’t make this stuff up.
Stood at 78th and 2nd for 30 mins. 45 cyclists/Ebike riders ran red lights. This is unacceptable.
@JulieMenin
@KeithPowersNYC
@NYPD19Pct
there needs to be visible and consistent enforcement. Things keep getting worse, but nothing is done.
So I had the right of way to cross and a
@CitiBikeNYC
is approaching. I stand in the bike lane to see what she would do. We all know the answer…
@NYPD19Pct
we need enforcement.
I’m really startled by the callous words I’m seeing from progressive supporters about the two fallen cops and the NYPD. How can these people say they are about peace, equality, and unity when they say such hateful things about police and those that disagree with them.
The Congestion Tax is widely opposed by vast majority of Nee Yorkers. However, local pols felt that caving to transit and bike bros was the better option.
The NYPD is awesome. They get hate on a daily basis from unappreciative politicians and radical community members. Yet, they show up to work to put their lives at risk for us. Those same haters cower and seek police support when they feel threatened or intimidated. The irony.
I am not going to be running for Governor of New York State, but I am going to devote every fiber of my being to fighting inequality in the state of New York.
The guy sitting across from me just took a baggie of cocaine (?) out if his sock.
He then stuck a teal straw in it and started using.
Happy Sunday, from the L train.
The plate covers/defaced plates have truly triggered me recently. When I drive through a toll and pay $15 plus, meanwhile the person next to me drives for free, it incentivizes more people to evade the tolls. More stops need to be made with higher fines/accountability.
People are always asking me, "Hey, Gersh, what's your problem, man?" And I say, "My problem is when court officers use illegal plate covers to avoid being held accountable for their recklessness." And then I show them this.
#criminalmischief
Just rode my bike for 30 mins around the UES. By far the biggest danger to me was the mopeds and delivery riders blowing red lights and going the wrong way. Is there a plan to address this
@KeithPowersNYC
@JulieMenin
?? This has become insanity at our intersections.
Well I was just told by a staffer for a council member that regardless of what the public says at the public forums Congestion Pricing will happen. This total disregard for the real concerns people bring up is so disrespectful. These politicians work for us, not special interests
Heavy chain and lock in Manhattan UES Duane Reade for Mickey Mouse and Klondike ice cream! Saturday 930 pm. Waited to get case unlocked, stood online to buy ice cream and someone walked out next to us with stolen items. This is

where ice cream is locked up!

The W 31st Street parking garage attendant (Moussa Diarra, 57) who was shot while confronting a suspected thief, then took the gun and shot the suspect, has been charged with attempted murder.
The constant flow of red light running Ebike riders is infuriating for multiple reasons. 1. It endangers themselves and others. 2. There is no enforcement. 3.
@TransAlt
blames the driver if the red light runners are hit by a car. 4. They are hitting peds each day.
A man that shows no patriotism or celebration for a country that’s given him countless opportunities. I guess this is how progressives celebrate the 4th.
This July 4th, we must remember that we stand on stolen land toiled by enslaved Africans and recommit ourselves to the fight for freedom, equality, & justice so that these ideals are accessible to everyone, not just a privileged few.
We are not free until everyone is truly free.
🚨WANTED-CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 5/6/23, approx. 6PM, inside the E 63 St & Lex 'Q' train Subway Station
@NYPD19PCT
Manhattan. The suspects entered the roadbed from the platform causing a hazardous condition & interrupting service. Any info call us at 800-577-TIPS Reward UP to $3,500
Just saw the NYPD kick out a repeat shoplifter from Target. Apparently he comes to the store to rob it several times a week and continues to be cut loose by the Manhattan DA’s office.
@ManhattanDA
stop the criminal enablement. Lock up the felons.
@Gonzalez4NY
, who just won the pivotal Democratic primary for NY State Senate District 59, walks into her victory party to tremendous applause. “Today we really proved that socialism wins,” she said.
Can you answer this
@tiffany_caban
@bradlander
? You two have particularly big mouths and always advocate for the criminals. Let’s see if you can wake up and join us in reality. Answer the damn question.
This is a picture of Det. Dalsh Veve at the funeral for Det. Wilbert Mora. Confined to a wheelchair, he still shows up. The perpetrator who put Veve in the wheelchair keeps committing the same crimes and doesn’t seem to be confined to anyplace. What is wrong with this system?
NYC Cyclists: Drivers not following traffic laws and pedestrians walking in our path pose a danger to us. Same Cyclists: I don’t need to wear a helmet. I don’t need to stop at red lights. I can ride on the sidewalks if I want. Pedestrians better get out of my way.
BREAKING NEWS: Two women were stabbed inside the Museum of Modern Art on Saturday, police say. The stabbing happened around 4:15 p.m. Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital in unknown condition.
In front of
@ChickfilA
86th St the new thing is to have legal plates, but make sure they are covered to avoid tolls and accountability.
@nyc_evsa
@NYPD19Pct
I was just walking across 2 Ave and a female cyclist was speeding to run the red light and about to collide with me. I put my umbrella out to stop her. She yells, “Keep walking.” I point to the red light and she says “Fu*k off” and gives me the finger.
@TransAlt
@StreetsblogNYC
If you disagree with the “Congestion Tax” which is the vast majority, you are a “troll.” This is how the people at
@RidersAlliance
feel about you. This is why there is such passionate detest of these “advocates” and paid “advocates.” Danny being Exhibit A.
Thanks again
@MTA
for the lovely new elevator at Dyckman Street. Sorry to all the trolls who've convinced themselves that congestion tolls will vanish in thin air rather than pay for the accessibility upgrades we all need and deserve.
Congestion pricing will reduce traffic and air pollution while improving mass transit, all of which will be good for the entire region. There will always be complaints anytime government tries something innovative, but this is long overdue.
I don’t think
@MarkLevineNYC
realizes this, but people across all political spectrums think crime is a huge problem in NYC. I guess once you drink the Progressive kool-Aid, you have to deny reality at all costs.
The MAGA crowd is busy lying about crime in Manhattan.
Here's the data.
Annual change year-to-date (as of 3/19/23):
* Total index crime -0.9%
* Murder -20.0%
* Rape -37.3%
* Robbery -6.1%
* Felony assault +11.0%
* Burglary -19.1%
* Gran larceny +4.6%
* GLA -12.4%
I’m growing tired of
@NYCMayor
@ericadamsfornyc
. We don’t need a celebrity or glam mayor. We need a person who is gonna work day and night and stay in the city to address crime. “Swag” comes from results and you don’t have them yet.
Just now: I was crossing 2nd Ave and an illegal no plates moped rider blew the light and was headed directly at me. I swatted my hoody I was holding at him. He missed me by inches & stops to try and fight me. An NYPD patrol car passed and he sped away. These riders are awful.
Until the behaviors of cyclists/ebike riders drastically improves, this will continue to happen. When you run a red light you assume the risk of whatever happens next…
I’m totally against the “Congestion” tax and having drivers pay for the many financial missteps of the MTA. For once, the MTA needs to be held accountable for their monetary mismanagement, fare evasion needs to be dealt with, and the subway system needs to be made safer.
No Criminal “Justice” system should allow for 55 arrests. After the third arrest there should have been a lengthy timeout. It’s a waste of police resources to keep going after repeat felons who should have already been locked up.
This guy is the poster child for negative perception & fear in the subways. If anyone is asking what your cops are doing, we've arrested this guy 55 times. The better question is WHY are we arresting him 55 times, where is the accountability? via
@nypmetro
The worst nightmare of every police officer and their loved ones.
My heart goes out to the family and friends of Officer Diller. Your service to our city will not be forgotten.
May your memory always be a blessing.
4,000. It’s crazy that I started this Twitter account to highlight QOL & intersection issues. Little did I know how many people felt the same way and wanted to amplify these pressing issues. Thanks for the support and I’m looking forward to welcoming the next 1,000.
As a young 90s boy in Bklyn, my mom made $25k a year. Like most ppl in my hood we didn’t have a car— we took the 🚇🚍
I wish we had CP back then because it would have made our lives a lot easier. Glad we’re getting it now. Sorry Bob.
So NYPD cops at our subway station asked my 3yo if she wanted stickers and then handed her these. I am livid. Handing out well-known white nationalist stickers to kids???
