If the sign in the background is any indication, it looks like Rocky is desperately trying to avoid Jersey.

Facts matter. Kudos to our cops for confronting unlawful behavior & acts of lawlessness head on. It’s what law abiding NY’ers expect, demand, & to be quite frank, deserve.
Our office has reached out to NYPD Transit District 30 about this cruel incident on the 7th Avenue F/G Station. This sort of violent broken windows policing does nothing to keep us safe. Assaulting someone for skipping a turnstile is an abuse of power by the NYPD.

When well over 100+ people enter a subway station at the same time, with some yelling and chanting, some acting disorderly, and some entering illegally by “jumping the turnstile”, I’d say it’s only appropriate that the police get involved to determine what is going on, to.
A look at one of the train cars full of cops that was held up by NYPD for ten minutes because a protest was just trying to move from one location to another safely.

Crazy morning. thank you @NYCTSubway and @NYPDnews for keeping the folks on my downtown C train safe this morning. I’ve never seen someone use a cat as a weapon, but yes that did happen and yes it was terrifying and yes I still love living here.

For those romanticizing the protests occurring on college campuses, “Death to America!” is one sentiment that runs counter to what we believe in, what we stand for, and what many have fought for on behalf of this country. 🇺🇸. And if you think the words written on this piece of.
This morning, @nyuniversity & @TheNewSchool requested @nypdnews to clear protesting students on their grounds. “Options” were afforded to the student protesters, with some leaving and 56 choosing arrest. There were no incidents, nor injuries to report. Once again the NYPD was

If anyone is curious what your NYPD cops are doing … well … they’re doing their jobs! They’ve arrested these 38 individuals a combined total of 1,126 times! The better question is why are they forced to arrest these people so many times & where are the consequences for their.
Last year, 38 individuals accounted for assaulting 60 @NYCTSubway employees. Those 38 individuals have been arrested 1,126 times combined. @NYCMayor & @NYPDTransit spoke with @ABC7NY this morning about the realities of crime & recidivism in the subway system. Watch below ⬇️

Right place, right time!. Today, @NYPDTransit officers were strategically deployed to patrol the platform at the Times Square subway station. They were alerted by a straphanger that a 17-year-old was having a dispute while holding a gun & quickly arrested him.

When an @AmericanAir flight attendant was assaulted by an unruly passenger, Officer Dhanpath intervened, de-escalated the chaotic situation, and turned the suspect over upon arrival at JFK. We’re proud of the professionalism our Transit officers show- below ground and above.

Even our four-legged partners sometimes go unnoticed on train patrol, but it’s just another day traveling across the city as the subways are open 24/7 and New Yorkers #TakeTheTrain this Memorial Day weekend 🇺🇸

This guy is the poster child for negative perception & fear in the subways. If anyone is asking what your cops are doing, we've arrested this guy 55 times. The better question is WHY are we arresting him 55 times, where is the accountability? via @nypmetro.

Assembly Member — Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Know this — the officers you see in this photo are all part of the enhanced supplemental police coverage we have deployed into the subway system to advance public safety (and it’s working - crime was down 15% in.
Meanwhile, a friend sent this pic from Broadway Junction yesterday. Seems like we may have a resource allocation problem here…

@BenjaminPDixon @NYPDShea @NYCMayor The video does not show the entire incident. The female attempted to jump the turnstile. The officer then approached her & instructed her to enter properly by swiping her MetroCard. She refused & was physically removed from the station. No summons was issued.

A harrowing 911 call of a scootering child whose leg was left bleeding heavily after being caught by a passing train. Officers Valverde & Guan arrive on scene and put their training to work, applying a tourniquet & likely saving the 5-year-old boy’s life. This is #NYPDProtecting

@JulianCastro What the video doesn't show is a credible witness alerting our officers to a man brandishing a gun. When officers approached the man in question, he fled into a subway station and onto a train to escape. Minutes later, officers at the next station took him into custody.

(1/3) On Tuesday, 2/16 as police were escorting the suspect for smoking on the platform out of the transit system, the suspect attacked the officers on the stairs. The suspect ends up on top of one of the officers, assaults the officer, as the other officers fight back.
