THREAD: September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For us this is personal, while our 2-year-old is fighting neuroblastoma. This month I want to share what families with pediatric cancer deal with, what the system gets wrong, and how people can help.
I kept going back and forth about sharing this, since I don't share personal stories. But this is important and I hope it can help bring a change. One year ago today was the worst day of my life. My baby was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer, neuroblastoma. And so began the
