The 7th of October 2023 was the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. In Kfar Aza, the grief was overwhelming. As mayor of the largest Jewish community outside Israel, I felt a duty to see it myself. Denying or distorting that day is evil.

There is nothing “progressive” about leaving people to freeze in makeshift encampments. It harms residents and dehumanizes the very people who need help. New Yorkers should call on Mayor-Elect @ZohranKMamdani to reconsider this policy.
