@GuidoFawkes The fee paying school bit is incredibly disingenuous on your part. It is now a fee paying school, but he went when it was accessible by 11+ as I understand. His parents then didn’t pay any fees when it became private as the council covered them for students.

@JimMFelton This is so thick it’s unreal. He’s comparing life expectancy at birth with your conditional life expectancy given that you’ve lived to today. If you’ve lived to 80 already your life expectancy is about 89 for men and 90 for women.

@SteveBettis1 @KensingtonRoyal It’s far better to just wash your hands and not use gloves. You for a start have better dexterity, also if you get any spills on your hands you’ll wash them immediately, whereas with gloves your less likely to do so.

But in the 25 years leading up to Roman owning Chelsea they had similar trophy records. And of course they’ve won as many trophies this century as Chelsea have this month.

@TonyM70 @PippaCrerar 1. Back in your day you were mortgaged for tuppence-ha’penny, so higher interest rates were much more affordable. People are now mortgaged for a much larger percentage of their salary, so lower rates now are equivalent to higher rates in the past in affordability terms

@DavidLammy @davecl42 There’s nothing wrong with requiring a photo ID for people to vote, so long as it becomes possible for citizens to acquire an ID specifically for voting purposes absolutely free of charge from their local council. If it’s passports and driving licences, not everyone has those.

@GuidoFawkes Reigate Grammar school charges fees now. He entered it via the 11+ system when it wasn’t private, it became private while he had been there for a few years. Surrey council then paid the fees for all the students who were already there. This isn’t up for debate.
