Once again I spend a Friday evening trying to find alternative trains for offspring who've had their plans detailed by our disfunctional railway system. Never mind the GBR colour scheme - just run trains reliably because an entire generation are about to give up on them.

Looks like the Rec planning application has formally been approved - was sort of approved in principle pending SoS decision on call in but has now been updated to a full approval. @BathBytes

This yank commentary is going to get irritating very quickly.

Genge can't have whinge - all I've heard on the ref mike all game is him crying about something or other. And Ridley is letting him do it despite warning their captain

Impressed at @wessexwater as a disabled inclusive employer - at least I assume that's why two of their vans are parked up in the disabled bays outside Tesco on Weston High Street

Spotted the @FalconsRugby coach heading home on the M5 - didn't see the game as at a Uni open day with son but you can't help but have sympathy with players that have had a tough afternoon on the pitch and then have to face that journey home as budgets don't run to flying.

NHS 111 is a waste of time and money - should be shut down and the funding used to bolster GPs to be able to provide on call services. The IT script is clearly flawed and ends up with bad outcomes like waiting 11 hours with an 85 year old who can't stand up.

Hello - is that the RSPCA - I'd like to report a cat being strangled during the Irish anthem!

Hey @firstdirect - strange messaging to day you're "changing my preferences" - err only I can decide what my preferences are - you might be trying to impose your preferences in the hope I don't change them back but not the other way round!

Oh look, it's Friday - and we know it's Friday because I'm playing hunt the train connection to replace the ones running late or cancelled so my son can get where he's going for the weekend. Thanks @AvantiWestCoast - service as usual - useless.

I'm looking forward to hookers getting carded for crooked lineout feeds, flyhalfs for missing kicks - if we're going to card players for simply being bettered by an opponent why restrict it just to props. (Should at least have had a warning)

Gatland is now trying to get sacked for the payoff - convince me otherwise! Faletau in the squad and only one flyhalf is madness.

Of eleven trains currently on the departure board at Newport station - five have been cancelled. Good luck anyone trying to get home after a weekend away

It's all well and good Diamond at @FalconsRugby making snide comments about how we afford our squad but it's deflection from their real problem - season high attendance of 7k Vs 14k at Bath means a £2m minimum difference in ticket income for a start.

Another way to victimise the young - there's plenty of older idiots on the road, and realistically all this would do is add to penalties after an accident because idiots would still take their mates out for a drive knowing we don't have the police resources to catch them doing it
This is a good idea and the government should implement it. It will save lives and cost next to nothing. https://t.co/Y0OyZH9dEt

This would solve the police funding crisis in one go - £200 charge for a ten minute "clear the house" visit.
Posted on our local village Facebook page:- “During the Covid lockdown, if you had family round on Christmas day, police would force entry and make them go home. Does anyone know if this service is still available, and if you have to book?”

One thing @gwrhelp manage to run to time on - the weekly, "we've given up on Sundays" capitulation message.
