Downright dishonest from @PDJSwallow. The Conservative Govt brought the Armed Forces Covenant into law in 2021 - I chaired the Select Committee that did it! Feel free to increase its provisions. But seeking credit for the work of others - and lying - have no place in politics.

Once more, rolling chaos on @south_railway service to London. Complained about SWR in @HouseofCommons last week - transport minister not interested/bothered. Commuting experience doesn’t match SWR’s stats.

Powerful speeches in @HouseofCommons third reading on assisted dying bill. Even if I accepted the principle of the bill, this one is so flawed, so unsafe, so discriminatory that I couldn’t possibly support it. It is a broken bill. End it.

In @HouseofCommons for Assisted Dying Bill which is wrong in principle, technically flawed and likely to deeply disadvantage minority and vulnerable groups. We should learn from experience in other countries and reject this well intentioned but misguided bill.
