We have a brilliant new Farm Shop in #Helmshore and I get pretty giddy every time I go. Today I came home with beautiful courgettes and made this delicious Courgette, Goats cheese & basil soup. If you are local, go and see The Potato Man at Park Mill 😍 #ShopLocal

Did my first 10k race tonight. Chase the Sun at Tatton Park. Really enjoyed it and even got a PB. I've really caught the bug. Thank you @RunThroughUK for a great event.

One of our locals has just shut because the Brewery put the rent up so much that it was unaffordable to keep going.
The British pub is dying. We're losing 8 pubs a week. 200 in the last six months. 209 demolished or converted for other use. Lost 2283 since 2020. A pub is more than just a pint, its the heart of the community. A place where friendships are made, where tales are told.

Ive been lucky enough to spend a week away. Much needed, lots of morning runs, swimming, Aperol Spritz, reading, sunbed wars, Lays & Ruffle crisps and turtle spotting. Home tomorrow, busy week ahead. Savouring tonight for as long as possible.

Ive pushed for better youth provision for years. This will only work if it's a 'Universal offer' and not just used on 'Targeted' services. All kids deserve to have a decent youth offer, youth workers and a quality service!
The Government says funding announced today aims to stop young people spending more time alone and behind screens. It says £88 million will be invested in youth clubs. @kategarraway asks Culture Secretary @lisanandy what impact it will have.
