Tonight, as we sleep soundly in our beds, we remember the bravery, determination, and sacrifice of the men of 617 Sqn who, 81 years ago tonight, undertook the daring #Dambusters mission. Many of them paid the ultimate price for the mission's success. They will not be forgotten.

Elizabeth II was one of the greatest Britons to have ever lived. Our longest reigning monarch, she served us all with dedication and respect throughout her whole life. This International Women’s Day, I took a moment to reflect and remember her unprecedented contribution.

#OnThisDay in 1965 Sir Winston Churchill died. He was the First Lord of the Admiralty in two world wars and arguably the greatest British Prime Minister ever. He said. “We sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us.”

God bless Sir David Amess. Two years ago he was murdered while serving the public in a senseless attack. We remember him, the joy he brought to so many and his dear family who are always in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏼
