The government confirmed the breach and gave #Newsnight this statement:

Up to 3700 Afghans brought to the UK between Jan-March 2024 have potentially been affected. The breach of their personal information could impact the safety of their families in Afghanistan.

The cyber security breach affected ‘Inflite - The Jet Centre’, a Ministry of Defence supplier that provides ground handling services for flights at London Stansted Airport.

Names, passport details and ARAP (Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy) information was compromised as a result of the breach which happened after a third-party supplier used by the Ministry of Defence suffered a cyber security incident.
