David Davis keep referring to Ireland as "the south". Memo to Davis: The south of Ireland is Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford. Ireland does not reference itself in relation to Northern Ireland. It is a whole country in its own right and it is called Ireland, or the Republic of Ire.

Why are people being sniffy about Primark queues? As one of my colleagues pointed out - "children have grown during lockdown. " and may need new clothes. and for many people that means shopping at Primark, more so with so many on furlough or anxious abut their jobs.

Barnier raises the issue of truckers - how can they drive on EU roads without agreement? Currently they drive under EU law. In no deal Brexit, they will have to apply for quota of licences under agreements for 3rd country.

Barnier regrets that the UK has not produced a legal text for the entire negotiations. (Sources tell me the UK text covers 7 areas). The EU text is 350 pages long an available on line, whereas UK text remains confidential, something Barnier says he regrets.

This Kent Access Permit will be issued once trucker has completed their paperwork. But sources in industry say it is impossible to implement unless police patrol the Kent border. They have asked govt to explain this. This is first time govt has said police will be used.

Brexit committee exposing madness of Brexit. A ham and cheese sandwich coming into Belfast from GB (think Marks and Spencer etc) would need "two health certificates". But problem escalates if lorry carrying the sandwiches also carrying 10 other types of sandwiches - all need HCs.

Just been to polling booth in London Tower Hamlets where two German nationals denied vote. They returned their UC1 form by hand on 2 May. I witnessed Kat phone the no she was given by officials and she was told the form was not processed until 16 May - 9 days after deadline.
