🗣️💯 This is something I was taught in pro ball. Wish I was conscious of this in HS & into college. Best advice I could give any infielder is to practice fielding the ball with 1 hand, trust/control your glove, improve your mobility & adjustability when u end up getting a bad hop

I don’t get it. The angle of the bat is so strong. Teaching the idea to firing the barrel so far under the plane of the pitch on a middle/middle pitch is mind boggling. The chicken wing lead arm is gross. Finish lower instead of higher and create backspin!!!

You can definitely see why players are intrigued with the team aspect. $2 million for 3 starts…he only had 2 years where he made more than that. 26 & 23 starts in those seasons. Averaging over 20 starts a year to make $1 million plus all of the travel.

Agreed, and it is what is being taught. The game at the MLB level happens VERY FAST, so there are outliers when 2B/SS gets a late break and has to straddle or just be athletic to make the play.
But at 3B, it should always be a straddle if you’re on time. I was lucky to have an

On a steal I WANT the SS/2B to get in front of the bag and not straddle. Nearly all teaching at MLB level is to get to front of bag. They were also teaching C to throw to 1B side of bag (3-5 ft) from what I heard from one player. Think that is still being coached.

Judge was a 1st rounder before ever meeting TM. I have figured it out is Judge is an unreal talent, a specimen w. god given tools.
What TM did for Judge had nothing to do with the physical, but the mental. TM doesn’t realize that & never will b/c he never played at a high level.
