I played 10 years in each of the Mexican Leagues. I loved every second of it! Met some great people and it was a great experience. I had no problem con la comida. A couple of bien fria cervezas and a shot of tequila and I was good to go! Great times.

😂-For those u you that haven’t been to 🇲🇽 and witnessed it’s baseball. The playoffs in Mexico were the best times of my career. Fans were great! Cervezas were bien fria. Night Clubs were packed, memories I will never forget.
Mexican Winter League Playoffs in Mazatlan, Sinaloa looks absolutely awful. Empty, boring and dull. We should probably implement pitch clocks, iPads in dugouts, metal detectors, analytics, limit beer sales, increase ticket prices, and put on postgame laser shows.

Watching this video I would ask does the hitter have the ability to cover the plate. (No) Looks one dimensional. A lot of head movement. Up and through the zone quickly. Parents need to understand the negatives connected to this type of swing. (HLP) Not Matty Approved!

Completely disagree. Being a former MLB catcher, it's the catcher's responsibility to judge the distance between himself and the hitter (potential) back swing. Should the hitter have to shorten his backswing? How do u do that? Move up in the box? Tell the catcher to stay back? 😂
Hitters need to be held accountable with back swings causing injuries to catchers. It's happening more often than I can remember. It can't just be a simple "Oops".

1-Have confidence hitting with 2 strikes
2- shorten up to track pitch longer. This will enable u to make more contact.
3-Look to do damage with 2 strikes, not just make contact.
4-Make defense earn out.

Ryu should be a model to other teams to copy. Instead of focusing on velocity , develop pitchers that can throw 3-4 pitches for strikes. Consistent mechanics leads to better command. One of the reasons Ryu doesn't throw bullpen in between starts.

Love the effort! As usual there's a few issues here. Releasing the ball from a shorter distance (3-4 ft) Also the receiving position is to much of a drop step (cheating) lose your body and chest as a target. Catchers throw hand should be closer to glove hand to transfer quicker.

Snap and Tilt? Both r negative movements in most hitters. These movements create lack of consistency. Higher K%, Higher flyball outs %, less contact and lower avg. The biggest negative is there becomes more weak areas in the swing. Head/vision is poor.

If you’re calling a high fastball, why drop a knee?! Stealing the low pitch on a called high fastball?! I got it, you take it. Dropping that left knee anchored him and got caught with limited lateral mobility. He closed himself off. IMO, ball has to be caught.

Stiff arm receiving- no good- no target and to much movement-no good.working under the ball is overrated and unnecessary. KD setup will be gone in a few years. New changes aren't working. Catching is at its all time worst!

Yes-Two things here , bases are 6 inches closer and the attempted pickoff rule. This certainly makes it much easier to steal a bag. Other intangibles could be KD setup by catchers. Defensive infield alignments (getting to the base later) should be an asterisk *

Hogwash! This swing is in the zone less time. It's in then it's out, thus the % of contact has decreased and K's are at a all-time hi. A to B swing is not a push! It's a shorter path to ball which enable hitters to track pitches longer, thus this swing creates more contact. 😂🤡

Look at this head! Can a hitter see any pitch with this head position. (No) Some solid hitting professionals think hitting starts with your head/vision discipline. You can't hit it if you can't see it. The clown 🤡 in the video obviously doesn't teach that. Not Matty Approved!

This is ridiculous! What does hitting a pad and having your swing stop develop u into a good hitter? More evidence of fraudulent instruction. Can u see Mike Trout hitting a blocking pad in his daily routine and preparation?
Supposedly not hitting the ball helps players not fear the impact I think is the point of this drill. Isn’t he making contact with that red thing? 🤷🏼♂️
