as a trans guy i also feel a lot safer using hotels… they generally don’t discriminate in my experience. obv not 100% and there are exceptions, but you’re but way, way less likely to have your reservation suddenly canceled or get dirty looks from the employees.

if you transitioned because you had some idealized physical version of yourself you were trying to achieve, it’s 100% on you if you’re disappointed when hormones don’t have the exact impact you desired/expected. T isn’t going to transform you into an adonis overnight.

since ppl love to misinterpret shit, i will clarify gender is innate to MY sense of being in this world. it is how i came to the conclusion that i was transgender. this is by no means a universal experience but it does represent MY experience as well as many other trans people.

no there’s grocery stores but we call them supermarkets. so if you search grocery store you’ll get “deli-groceries” which are bodegas but if you search “supermarket” you’ll get regular supermarkets similar to kroger or whatever you have.
