@DrNeenaJha @KyleRoys @DrCarolineMWF @rcgp Experienced msk physios are as good as any at knowing if something is msk or not. We are drilled in red flags. I've been sent msk referrals from GPs for patients who actually had cancers, neuro conditions, infection, vascular, autoimmune conditions and more. 1/2.

@BeckettUnite The monarchy surrenders profits from the crown estate to the UK government in exchange for the sovereign grant. Last year that was £312mil. Minus the £86 we gave them. We gained £200mil+ If they lost the crown estate it would be in private hands soon enough and we'd get nothing

No safety concerns with first contact physiotherapists, improved outcomes at 3 months and fewer opiates prescribed for suspected msk conditions compared to traditional primary care management. Well done all FCP colleagues you do great work.

@Dr_Done_ If you've called a specialist service and the advice was incorrect the responsibility should lie with them. Even if it was a PA giving the advice. Perhaps if the person holding the bleep isn't appropriate, responsibility could migrate to whoever gave them the bleep.

@MartinSLewis It is funny how the Bank of England intention is to squeeze disposable incomes then put that disposable income into the pockets of big banks that lend to people. You would have almost thought that Andrew Bailey has a few mates that work in big banks.

@Microbedoc2 I'm pleased for the junior doctors. They took their industrial action seriously. It's not quite as simple for those on AFC. We are split on by profession making getting a strike mandate more difficult. Typically also have lower wages and can't afford to strike as long.

@alisonleary1 @UHSFT @LCN_UK @theRCN This is absolutely barmy. Band 5 is entry level nursing. If you are asking for an experienced nurse, you are asking for a least band 6, but looking at the job role, probably higher. I don't understand why this happens in nursing.

Mark Menzies MP, MND is a diagnosis of progressive functional decline. Once unable to work you can never improve, whether or not you live longer than 6 months is irrelevant. It is a waste of public money to reassess those unfit to work that can never improve. This is ignorant.

@DrEilidhMaria PAs/ACPs often get lumped together in the non-doc category. But there is a difference. ACPs will have been registered health professionals for years and usually have multi-systems knowledge as worked in rotations positions. PAs tend not to have this experience when they start.

@AdamMeakins Not sure it's the physio profession. ICBs across the country use limited resources and don't value msk care. Leaving physios to manage large populations with long waits, short appointments, limited follow up and pressure to self manage. Hence patients get home exercise programmes
