The MG5 does exactly what it says on the tin. I left Newcastle today with 93%, home with 9% and 21 miles remaining. This is the end of a 2100 mile, 13 day trip around Scotland. What a workhorse 👌

For any of you that said "brakes", spot on!!! Both rears calliper's pads and sliders had to be hammered out, rubbed down, greased and refitted. It had one DTC for coolant temperature (historic) I don't think this is a case of 'we'll make some money here', but more of 'we

Just looked at a Nissan Leaf 30kWh for an elderly customer in Kent. He was told that his car requires a replacement inverter and motor. He's been quoted over £8k for this and also told 'it may not fix the issue'. The symptoms were, lack of power and a burning smell. A motor

One of our customers who runs a high mileage Model 3 as a taxi, has had an issue with cooling during charging and felt the range had dropped. One of our techs went out (where the arrow is) and cleaned out the AC intake ducting that was heavily blocked with leaves. The result,

This cheap, Chinese EV has just gone through 125,000 miles. We have one new additional to the list of replacement parts which so far amount to tyres, wipers and pollens filters. We've had to purchase a new charge port latch. In case anyone is wondering, the traction battery

UK grid emissions have dropped significantly over the past 12 years. So just how clean is an EV. If we look at the lowest emission petrol car in the UK today, a Yaris hybrid, it emits 92g/CO2 per KM. Not bad compared to some, but lets look closer. I'm ignoring fuel

@peterrhague To be clear, I’m also a middle-aged white man from the same area as Lee. This isn’t disingenuous to this particular group, but this group are currently being embarrassed by people like him. We have an influx making us all look bloody stupid. We’re guilty by association.

@ArgyleBecky I drink whilst working, I need to stay hydrated. He may have been out there for hours, and if he hadn't, where's the issue exactly? There are much more pressing issues to tweet about, those being much more important than a copper having a brew whilst at work.

I'm as excited about the new MG4 as we were about our first Nissan Leaf. Here's the thing. The top spec MG4 is £1500 cheaper, goes 280 miles further, charges at 80kW's faster, has 4 years more warranty and loads more features. Good times ahead.

If you're an automaker and this car doesn't worry you, it really should. The MG4 has very few shortcomings and many positives, one being the 'bang for buck' factor that has been artificially removed by many other manufacturers. I really can't wait for ours to land 👌🏻

Surely this should have be scrapped by now?? This @Tesla Model 3 that we regularly service has covered 175,000+ miles in 3 years. It’s had brakes pads and discs, tyres and a few suspension components, but nothing else. It’s almost like the batteries don’t fail every 3 years 🤷🏻‍♂️

Our 60000 mile Tesla still charges at its max of 120kWs, it's battery hasn't gone to landfill and it easily hits 220 miles from a charge, which, normally costs under £4 at home or is free on the @Tesla supercharger network. Think EVs are unreliable, think again 👍🏻

The recent winter weather means it's costing us more to run our electric cars. Normally we pay 1.8p/mile, but in these temperatures that's increased 2.2p/mile. Sod that, I'm getting a diesel 😳

When we see a post telling us how it's more environmentally friendly to keep a 1993, 4L, petrol, RR on the road over buying an EV, we're going to question it. It seems that when questioned on this the OP had no facts, wasn't interested in the facts and subsequently folded like

I was asked on the radio this morning how I felt about @RishiSunak ’s backbone collapsing. 2030/2035/2040, it doesn’t have much effect. The ban until yesterday was still over 6 years away, but EV sales were still rapidly increasing, both new, and more recently, second hand.
