I was led to believe that blocking traffic for protests is one of the worst things anyone can do. Yet, in this case, the NYPD forced me and my kid to ride in traffic because they have nothing but contempt for those of us who live here. It’s just me and my 7 year old.

I take my pre-schooler to school on an ebike. This woman illegally parks her car in a “truffle painted ped refuge” to drop her kid off at preschool, which also blocks the view of me from the left turning car. Note the cones since they close the street to cars too for drop off.

It’s my first subway ride in over 3 months as I bike to work in the summer and I can’t believe the people who bleet on all day about crime. I’ve got a seat next to my kid with a view on the Manhattan bridge. Everyone is reading or napping. This really is the civilized commute!
