Drivers have proven time and again that they cannot be trusted with permissive turns. Motorists should not be allowed to cross a crosswalk while a pedestrian has the walk signal. PERIOD.

I ordered my eBike directly from the Netherlands. When I suggested that listing it as a “Ladies Bike” was limiting the appeal to men, the salesman was confused. “Dutch men just ask for a woman’s bike if they want a step-thru.” Yeah, most US guys are far too insecure for that. 🤣

One of the greatest triumphs of the motor industry is to make men in the U.K feel inadequate if they don’t own a monster truck. In the Netherlands, people like Guy - who I met in Assen today - don’t seemed bothered by that at all. Which we all know is the real way to be cool.

I had to make a quick run to the store to buy mounting hardware for the shelving unit I was installing. A few years ago, I would’ve instinctively driven the 2 mile round trip journey. The thought of driving this short distance today is laughable. #BikeIsBest

We’re going to need a bigger bike rack. It’s great to see more folx shopping by bike, but one tiny wave rack ain’t cutting it. #CostcoByBike #BikeDEN

We’re not stuck in traffic because we chose not to BE traffic. Thank you, ⁦ @DenverDOTI ⁩, for the new 16th Ave PBLs which will allow more people the option to leave the car at home. Happy for the Safety Stop being legal in Colorado too!

Decades of policies and street design which prioritize motorist convenience and speed have resulted in a perception of driver superiority. Even minor delays are seen as a personal slight deserving of retribution.

After walking for less than a minute legally on the crosswalk a driver tried to run over pedestrians on the sidewalk while another driver tried to run us over

I watched a driver completely blow through a stop sign with a phone in her hand and an infant in a car seat. She just shrugged when I yelled at her. This is the culture we’ve promoted by prioritizing driving over all else.

Sweet Baby Jesus, just ban turns on red already! People walking and rolling shouldn’t have to deal with this at every damn intersection. ⁦ @DenCityCouncil

There's no middle ground reaction to videos like this. Either you're horrified at what drivers are capable of, or you're snickering at the guy nearly killed. This is much more about mental health than it is "share the road" signs.

Oh yeah, don’t bother to slow down, move over or even put your phone down while you pass a bicyclist at a pinch point in the snow. 😠

Why is it that the “tough American male” persona requires driving a tank to feel safe?
