@AngelList
is the most underrated product bc of the # of lives and cos it has changed:
👷♀️Tons of startup jobs (esp for those breaking into tech)
🧑🤝🧑Startups can build recruitment pipeline
📈Investors can raise capital
👀Anyone can invest in startups
All can be life-changing
@ZacharyDeWitt
@AravSrinivas
Impressive but also every company on this list has a ton of hype on Twitter with consensus.
Impressive to be in today, anyone would want him as an angel, but let’s see where everything is in 7 years - not that these companies won’t win but hard to be non consensus and right
@Carnage4Life
I’d argue Netflix was a tech company when video streaming was innovative. Now it’s a commodity.
Maybe they can become a tech company again with gaming

Love this- navigating health care system is tough and our bodies change every few years so have to be aware and proactive about how to handle healthcare system! Last year was a big year for visiting doctors for me
$MTCH stock is a beast that is powered by Tinder. The market was too skeptical last year when $FB announced a dating app. Was an easy buy for me.
Congrats on the continued success

Sector struggles being counterbalanced by ai craze and overall economy performing well (on certain metrics) definitely makes it a tougher pill to swallow

Bagels - Russ and Daughters, Sadelles, Black Seed
Pizza- Roberta’s, Di Fara, Prince street
Lunch- Emily (get the burger), Cotenna, Sushi Yasaka, Cuba
One of most interesting ongoings in tech is
@travisk
raising a massive war chest, recruiting a ton of top talent out of
@uber
, etc, and building a massively important company in secrecy
We have been playing Wordle with my girlfriend’s dad everyday for the past 3 months. Today, he got it on his 1st guess
So naturally, we sent a cake to congratulate his achievement
@NateSilver538
The number of cases feels a lot higher than the data shows. Anecdotally, I know a lot of people with covid right now - I think they're mostly just self-testing / not reporting
@dtrinh
I often think about this

cities essay written almost 11 years ago. Much of it holds true. A city’s culture really influences the people in it.

Feels like Google/FB is rent payment for marketing, AWS is tax on digital assets
@debarghya_das
Absolutely.
I wonder how much of the world will move toward generated content. Hundreds of millions of people watch e-sports but prefer humans for physical sports. Imagine this will create a category but also maybe more for the fantasy and for people to get their start.
Surreal to watch

Any country along the Mediterranean will have a lot of this. I love Biarritz, Modena/Parma, San Sebastian (or nearby)
CDMX best in winter when you're avoiding the cold.

@rabois
disagree with this because it doesn't touch on the core of what pitching these VCs is about:
Practicing pitching to these VCs is about the founder getting their story crisp rather than getting feedback from investors
@sarthakgh
Think he's arguing what they did to
@finix
has happened more commonly among Fintechs and created sort of a barrier to entry the way one may call up all of the lawyers on a case so that your opponent can't use

Aside from the Twitter buzz that marketers are able to harness on this site,

I sign up for a school and instead of paying tuition upfront, I go for free. Once I graduate school and get a job, the school gets a portion of my salary until they are fully paid back
@mattturck
Do you know where I could find a good thread on writing ai prompts?
I’ve searched far and wide but can’t find the 10 best prompts and feel like I may be misusing chatGPT

The billing department of my doctor's first inclination is to fax me my bill tells you how big the opportunity for disruption is still in healthcare and healthcare billing
@howardlindzon
Betting on companies that haven’t yet been winners to turn things around. I’ve riden down a few stocks as they tanked over a long period of time and while it’s possible to reverse the trend, much easier to invest in winners. I was too patient on $SKLZ and $JMIA as emerging plays
When I read about the Flexport “industry skeptics”, it’s clear the old guard is afraid of having to compete with better service/tech and can’t easily adapt without cannibalizing their biz
@typesfast
Every other company in the industry either runs on third-party software or main frames.
In both of these cases, they have no hope of innovating.
Flexport is the only company that owns its own destiny and can build the future everybody thinks should exist.
@Carnage4Life
Feels like a pendulum.
In a down market, employees will flock to the annual stock grants for protection
In a bull market, 4 year stock grants would be better because you get all of the upside
