HIGH LIFE: the (disturbing) gravity of this film can't be preached enough. I mean, Robert Pattinson is a great actor, and anyone with his level of stardom would probably be resistant to the role unless they understood the genius that is Claire Denis. He's the one that does.

Besides Kristen Stewart being epic as usual, the MVP in UNDERWATER is the stuffed bunny ball. "He made it" I thought as he went away in the pod. I also respect any monster movie that's a 'fuck you' to corporate drilling. Good 2020 release to start off this year in film.

THE LIGHTHOUSE: wowzers. The vocabulary from the 1890's will linger in me head, and on top of that I saw two of the best performances in any odd couple film ever. Darkly funny, this played like Withnail and I but with so much more tension. Sexual even. Pattinson+Dafoe= 🔥🔥
