to be clear, I would never actually do this because I don’t want to subject people involved with avatar to the depravity of iwtv fandom and there is no reason why it should be any of their concern but if I was half as spiteful as you freaks I absolutely would.

It was absolutely targeted and purposeful. They knew what the consequences would be and they didn’t care, they likely found it funny even.
personally i think “they didn’t think of the consequences” it’s not an acceptable excuse in 2025 seeing the political state of the world. they knew this person, knew what she looked like, they had her whole government name. i think they knew exactly what was going to happen.

a lot about why the terminator franchise is like that comes down to the fact that cameron had to sell the rights to get himself attached as director so it’s interesting that even with that context he was still at risk of being removed from his own picture.

like the darvo attempts are crazy. PEOPLE GOT SUBJECT TO INTERROGATION, FORCED TO INTERACT WITH THE POLICE, GOT PUT ON RECORDS AND IN DATABASES, TRAUMATISED, PLACED AT RISK OF DEALING WITH ICE OVER A TV SHOW but somehow people are attempting to deflect and turn it around.

I do think that group of people was involved, I do think others who may not have directly participated bear responsibility for enabling and manufacturing consent, I do feel personally betrayed by certain individuals who I believed were friends.

I’m really sorry for talking about this iwtv stuff so much because typically I try not to expose the ins and outs of niche communities to thousands of uninvolved people but what has been going on is so fucking appalling I can’t be silent about it.
