I worked in care. On my rounds, my clients were 99% men, although occasionally I was asked to visit a female. If care was intimate, there would need to be a second carer there, preferably female. If not, I would give them an option of how much care they wanted from me. Difficult

When I worked in care 20 years ago, male workers could not provide intimate care to women, except in exceptional circumstances, with another worker present. It's all about dignity and respect, but it's also protection for the male worker.
