From then until now I've fought for LGBT+ rights year after year. And I won't stop. On #IDAHOBIT we stand united against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. Standing together always.

I'm so proud π₯° also seeing you flourish being a part of your journey through an internship. I know you are a hard worker and will be a fantastic Mayor.
As a child, I was raised in a council home by an incredible family. I take so much pride in where I came from and being working class. I am 26 years old. I was the first person in my family to go to university and graduate. I am now the youngest ever Mayor of #Brent.

I was pleased to take Minister @fionatwycross with @MAsgharButt on a tour of Brent. Our high streets reflect Brent's vibrant and independent spirit. Councils need powers to say no to more gambling venues. It's time to scrap the 'aim to permit' duty.ππΎ.

I led Minister @fionatwycross with @MAsgharButt on a tour of Brent to show the proliferation of gambling shops. One site was graffitied. While I donβt condone damage, it felt like conscientious graffiti. Councils need power to say no. Time to scrap the 'aim to permit' duty.

Iβm a proud signatory of this letter, alongside 73 Labour MPs and peers, calling for the recognition of the State of Palestine. Iβll continue doing everything I can to support a peaceful solution and help bring an end to the humanitarian crisis.
There is growing support for the recognition of a Palestinian state amongst parliamentarians. Alongside Labour colleagues I have written to the government urging them to support recognition at the UN conference in June as a first step towards a durable peace and negotiations.

An important event with @Christian_Aid, marking 80 years of campaigning and highlighting the links between global poverty, climate change, and debt. Globally, the most vulnerable communities are the worst affected by the climate crisis. Climate justice must lead policy.

Great to attend a reception with @IPAPharmacy. Community pharmacies are a lifeline. Over 1.6 million people rely on them weekly for medication, advice, and long-term care. We must protect and invest in these vital local services.
