When I was in an induced coma, night after night nurses watched over me to see that I didn't need emergency attention. In the morning they wrote me a 'letter' which went into a 'Patient Diary' which they gave me when I came round. This is only worth 1%?

From Michael's family: Michael is very poorly at the moment. Having spent a night in ICU, he is now doing "ok, stable, alert" and was able to go to a ward yesterday. Thank you very much for all your kind concern. Emma x

I said to one OT at the rehab that I didn't think I would be able to do a show to 100s of children in a theatre again.
She said I would.
This year, I did a show to 100s at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
A woman with her kids asked me to sign a book.
It's me, she said.

For the many kind people wishing me well here, today I did about 20 steps unaided with no zimmer or stick and about 40 steps with a stick - amongst other stuff. The exercise bike screen instructions have switched to being in French. No one knows why.

On this day in 1999, I got up to find that my son Eddie had died in the night from meningococcal septicaemia. Always remembered and loved by the whole family and beyond. Love to all who cared about him.

At the moment that photo of No 10 was taken, I was in a ward where 42% of us were dying. The PPE was not fit for purpose, some of it was 2nd hand and had blood on it. At the outset, I couldn't get tested anywhere. First half of 2020 was a govt-led crime.

There were times at either end of my 48 days in intensive care when I was lonely and confused, especially after the coma. I didnโt understand (drugs) why Emma or the kids didnโt come in. Good news that Boris and pals were ripping it up though.

I very much appreciate people being glad Iโve โrecoveredโ but I must warn you Iโm way off the finished job! I hobble with a stick and only over a few metres, struggle with stairs, become breathless and dizzy and only have full sight in one eye and full hearing in one ear.

I saw at 1st hand over 3 months the work that nurses do. They cared for me when I was in a 40-day coma and wrote a 'Patient Diary' of all they did to keep me alive - and then in the Rehab hosp they assisted the OTs and physios to teach me to walk. I 100% support the strike.
