I once had a 50 foot long, spotted whale shark go by me in the Galapagos. It had spots on it like something out of Dr. Seuss. It was close enough to touch and something in me still didn’t believe it. It was a FISH and the back vertical fin spun me around. Still a dream.

This is all conflated. Tritium is probably the least dangerous short lived light isotope we know about. It doesn’t stay in the body. The levels here to be put into seawater are far smaller than the radioactivity seawater naturally contains anyway, from uranium and potassium-40.

In Texas they found the single most expensive chronic Medicaid patient was a woman w COPD, who simply wouldn’t use her inhalers. And every few weeks she went up in the hospital on a ventilator. Turned out to be cheaper to send paramedics to her home twice a day to supervise. 🤷🏼

There were hundreds of them. After the AIDS antivirals got good in the mid 90s, anyone with HIV who refused them was 90% likely to die of AIDS. Many of the rest made it to the modern era, where the antivirals are capable of suppressing HIV reproduction to measurable nil.
