It's never too late to change your health and your mindset.
It starts by being skeptical of conventional wisdom.
Real conversation from last time I was at the real doctor:
Doc: "You're in great shape, what do you do?"
Me: "I eat low carb and lift weights."
Doc: "You should eat a low fat diet and do aerobics."
People who ate eggs instead of cereal for breakfast were less hungry at the next meal and ate 15% fewer calories.
Cereal is made in a factory.
Eggs are nature's food.
Have some eggs for breakfast.
Eating 3 eggs a day led to lower fasting insulin and better metabolic health in men with metabolic syndrome.

Most people think you need to eat before exercise, but that's often counterproductive.

New study: High-intensity interval exercise kills senescent cells in human skeletal muscle. No effect of steady-state exercise.
Senescent cells increase inflammation and are implicated in aging, showing the anti-aging effect of high-intensity exercise.

If they developed a drug that extended lifespan by 14 years, that would be considered a huge breakthrough.
Yet people who
*eat right
*exercise
*maintain normal body weight
*don't smoke
*drink moderately
live to about 90, 14 years longer than the average for American men.
Grounding or earthing, i.e. bare feet in contact with the earth, increases zeta potential of red blood cells, and decreases their ability to clump.
It therefore decreases blood viscosity and coagulation, lowering the risk of many chronic diseases.
Muscle loss (sarcopenia) is a major reason why old people go into nursing homes. They become so weak that they can't take care of themselves, not even to get out of a chair.
Resistance training and more protein fix this.
