@Rich_Cooper I don't get it. I worked in a hospital in the 80s and none of the nurses were covered in tattoos nor had piercings besides maybe their ears. Did the job change that much?.

@MikeCristo8 I don't know if this is true, but it's very obvious to me that the Fed never stopped printing money. There is no way we can run enormous trade deficits day after day and end up with roughly the same amount of money supply over time. They're printing some how.

@Snowden They are all clones of one another. The only thing that makes Bitcoins or anything else "better" is simply that it's currently more popular. At the end of the day, none of them are anything more than some digits on a memory stick.

@DonMiami3 Now add to that govt contractors, hospitals, and other non profits deriving the vast majority of their funding from govt. We are as commie as anyone.

@Beard_Vet You gotta take into consideration that everything in the military is free. Clothes, food, housing etc. And they can retire w/ a pension at 38 yrs of age. Also, it's closer to $36k.

@Dr_Gingerballs Meh, housing is struggling, the auto market has collapsed, retail stores are closing en masse. Govt spending and a handful of tech stonks seem to be our country's GDP. The Fed should let banks set interest rates instead of trying to centrally plan them.

@blockchainchick How often did you send money around the earth and require permission before? I've traveled over a good bit of earth and used a credit card with no problems. The Amazon card doesn't even charge foreign currency exchange fees. Oddly, I never requested their permission either.

@DonBananMike @Snowden No, I know exactly what it is. It's you paying miners for some digits on a stick. You're the one who seems confused. Don't be confused by all the tech BS. At the end of the day, you own nothing more than digits on a stick.

@DanCollins2011 It's not fake, it's just a bogus calculation. Real GDP is simple. Exports-Imports. Your country is either creating wealth, breaking even or going into debt. The US GDP calc is really just a measure of how much money gets shuffled around. A lot of it by govt. 1/.

@jameslavish All taxes are for the benefit of our common national interests. If they're going to tax income fine. If they're taxing taxed income, not so fine. If they're taxing taxed income before it's even income & over and over every year, then it's a property tax aka "unrealized cap gains".

@aschmidt2930 @realestatedude0 No percentage is too high or too low. It should just be a free market. If someone wants to do it for 1% great. If someone wants to try to charge 10% because they're super realtor, that's great too. List your price and let consumers decide.

@LorenBoston @RedJahncke @LukeGromen @LawrenceLepard "Remittance" is a funny way of saying Fed losses that are covered by printing uncollateralized new $. Remittances are like a diode. They only flow from the Fed to the Treasury when Fed gains $. Nothing flow back when Fed loses $.

@VladTheInflator @ronrule How is stupid Fed policy old people's fault? Most of this free money came since Covid. Nearly all since 1999. So, for the last 25 yrs, people benefited from free $ more than any time in history. When old people grew up, there were no McManisons nor work from home or stimmy checks.

@SantiagoAuFund Why must Americans be "self loathing" because they disagree with the policy choices of politicians thru the years?.We once had productive capacity in the US. Tax policies made it profitable to give it away. And for a while it was easy street. We'll see if it stays easy street.
