This is the McDonald’s at the Minneapolis airport. This is what happens when the min wage is too high. Liberals think they are helping people, but they’re not.
The "unvaccinated" already passed our test. We lived through what was supposedly the most deadly pandemic of our life time, and none of us regret not getting that shot. People forget the message was this: "Obey and comply or you are going to die from this virus." -- that was it.…
My Dad was able to afford flying my whole family of 5 + 2 of my cousins to Florida for Disneyland for a whole fuckin week in ‘99. He did the same just to the Cayman Islands in ‘08. What we living thru right now is much worse
Look, I’m sorry to be an elitist, but we need some sort of moratorium on people arguing about the economy if they don’t know what a “median” is or what the term “real” means.
It’s actually a little shocking how conservative Will’s argument is here. Everyone is focusing on how laughable the Golden Age of Biden is, which is totally valid, but the metrics Will points to are chillingly neoliberal.
Poll: 65% of young people rate their personal financial situation as good or very good. BUT: 70% rate the US economy as bad or very bad.
People’s assessment of the economy is their assessment of how OTHER PEOPLE are doing.
Why do young Americans think everyone is doing badly?

Again. You don’t care about the homeless. The sweep was protestors. The homeless get temporary housing. If you cared, you would already know that they are getting temporary lodging. A big step up from tents!
What's really dishonest about this "Why are voters unhappy?" coverage is that Biden isn't even trying to give voters what they want: de-flation.
Prices going down is deflation, but the Fed isn't even trying to do that. It's just trying to get price increases to slow down.
Refusing political help, support and alliances when people happen to agree with you on certain issues generally ends up with nothing actually happening.
There's absolutely no room in the urbanist movement for conservatives.
The fight for equitable, climate conscious cities, worker's rights, reproductive rights, racial justice, wealth equality, and LGBTQ rights are all the same fight.
It's the fight for our future.
any time you see a graph of anything that shows a big change around 2008, the recession should be your first culprit. same with the 80s & thatcher/reagan. not to generalise but every graph is just those two things
Look, I’m sorry to be an elitist, but we need some sort of moratorium on people arguing about the economy if they don’t know what a “median” is or what the term “real” means.
