I know this is controversial but I don’t think men exploit a readily available system of domination, value extraction, and glamorized, consequence-free violence because they’re so loving and sensitive deep down.

Underrated point is how central no-fault divorce, women’s increased earning power, and the destigmatization of single parenthood are to creating these “stable, fulfilling, committed” marriages, as they allow women to leave unstable, unfulfilling, abusive ones to find them.
I think the central thesis - being in a stable, fulfilling, committed marriage is good for the soul and happiness and it would be good if more people were in those - is perfectly defensible. But it’s a very long way from that to policy.
