👇Fascinating observation. Raises important questions, including whether the @moderna_tx adjuvant vaccine study result in melanoma (Keynote-942) was attributable to *any* vaccine encoded epitopes. FYI: Neither this nor phase 3 (NCT05933577) has empty vector control. @FDA

🚨Our new paper is out today in Nature! We show that SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines can sensitize tumors to immune checkpoint blockade (ICI) — revealing that clinically available RNA vaccines may act as potent immune modulators.

Well done to @drclaireroddie and team for this amazing work. Many take home messages from this work -Lymphodepletion is essential for CAR-T to work -Repeat doses don't seem to work here, but more work is needed @HCC_UCLH https://t.co/AbAKMEu2cC

Huge shoutout to every NIH official grinding non-stop to support researchers and pushing through to meet that Sept 30 award deadline to ensure 100% of the funds are sent. You're the heroes keeping biomedical research alive. Unfortunately politicians are not as good as you are.

Today is the last day of Childhood Cancer Awareness month. I haven't been able to find the words to do it justice--I'm not sure there are any. The world has told us pediatric cancer is "rare", in part to justify its low budget towards this research, but it's a lie.
