Thrilled to share our work on how bacterial infection and systemic inflammation compromise ongoing germinal center responses. For me, this project was a lesson in persistence and emphasized the power of scientific discussions. @ImmunityCP

Congratulations Itzkovitz lab! Truly exciting project that opens interesting questions about the function of immune cells in the gut lumen. Happy to have been involved in this
Some science during these terrible days: @KerenBaHa paper is online in @NatMetabolism: https://t.co/FSv3nAf7qa. See also this preview: https://t.co/VOUvxwILPa. Thank you @ZivShulman, @AdiBiram, @yaelkorem, @yotamharnik, @AdiEgozi, Oran Yakubovsky and @WeizmannScience.

Today we report that an engineered skin bacterium, swabbed gently on the head of a mouse, can unleash a potent immune response against a distant tumor. @yerinchen led the charge w/ help from @DjenetBousbaine, @VeinbachsA, @BelkaidLab. @ScienceMagazine 1/26 https://t.co/bgW3C7CJgh

Did you know that live immune cells are constantly shedding from our gut and can potentially function in the lumen? I was happy to play a part in this cool study by the Itzkovitz lab, led by the great @KerenBaHa.
Check out our new preprint on the after-life of intestinal cells: https://t.co/2EA6dVmWz1. Cells that are shed each day from our gut are thought to die immediately upon their dissociation from the tissue. Here we show that this is not the case (1/6).
