The strucuture of my 1:1’s, which are weekly, is “my time” and outside of a 5 minute primer recap it’s all about me and what I want to talk about. Progression? Video games? Memes? It’s whatever I want it to be. Makes for a better relationship.

Got into a fight with management over this kind of thing and told them if they deployed this Internally I’d walk. The solution for “vendors” was insanely intrusive called Teramind.

It was never about being ready, it was about a false sense of superiority. Most I have seen, YMMV, don’t know the first thing about survival without modern solutions. They just assume they can use gold and guns to get what they want. They aren’t blacksmiths, farmers, etc.

Apparently it’s cool to shit on Mitre ATT&CK right now? It’s being misused, but the underlying value of creating a taxonomy of attacks that is easily referenced still holds value. If I was going to shit on something it would be the orgs misusing it, not the entire system.
