@Evil_Mog
My friends mom used to program cobol back in the day. Old FIs called her in the last 10 years offering her ludicrous money to come back and update systems.
@SwiftOnSecurity
I’d say if you can afford it, a million on liability. Three car pile up with peoples medical bills and cars being easily near 100k won’t go early as far as you think.
@ktstevenson
When we started remote work I told my manager I would not be a cop for crap managers and HR would have to file all requests. I have stood by that and haven’t done any reports except actual HR requests.
@NicoleBeckwith
The strucuture of my 1:1’s, which are weekly, is “my time” and outside of a 5 minute primer recap it’s all about me and what I want to talk about. Progression? Video games? Memes? It’s whatever I want it to be. Makes for a better relationship.

Read about the actual reason it happened and it’s basically a bunch of people who realized they could punish hedge funds suppressing prices and applying poor securities management
@hacks4pancakes
Got into a fight with management over this kind of thing and told them if they deployed this Internally I’d walk. The solution for “vendors” was insanely intrusive called Teramind.

LPT: If you are out hiking always keep a small piece of fiber on you. If you get lost, bury it about 6 inches down and a backhoe team will show up in about 2 hours.

@RedHat
That feels like a strawman fallacy. It’s easy to create a boogeyman but without transparency and how this is now just coming out, it’s a terrible look at best and potentially character assassination at the worst.
@Infosec_Taylor
It was never about being ready, it was about a false sense of superiority. Most I have seen, YMMV, don’t know the first thing about survival without modern solutions. They just assume they can use gold and guns to get what they want. They aren’t blacksmiths, farmers, etc.

to get rid of the gear? After that happened and everything came out, I jumped ship. Even the home lab subreddit knows the security and QA is abysmal at best. It’s just a cheap entry point. Not to mention they violated the Linux kernel license.
Apparently it’s cool to shit on Mitre ATT&CK right now? It’s being misused, but the underlying value of creating a taxonomy of attacks that is easily referenced still holds value. If I was going to shit on something it would be the orgs misusing it, not the entire system.

One of the darkest tweets I saw was talking about how they watched a guy get call from his parents saying they were scammed out of their life savings and him realizing he just gained two new dependents because his parents couldn’t work anymore.

I loved the talk. I didn’t understand it all but the one thing I did come away with is your community helps you. Support it, expand it, contribute, and listen.

The entire first sentence was about his perception of what an open marriage would look like to him, which obviously meant to him he’d go sleep with other women and she wouldn’t do anything. His reaction to her even matching backs that assumption.

Attackers: man writing C2s that don’t get flagged by modern security solutions are getting a bit tougher to write

You mean an employee of Meta who is currently pissed at Apple about blocking tracking prefers an OS designed to maximize data collection?
