Update: The instance owner took it down, and emailed me apologizing about the incident (didn't intend for it to be public). So for that I'm thankful, and I also clarified some of my reasoning for posting an issue to PeerTube's GitHub in that issue, if you want to read it!.

So. someone created an account impersonating me on a PeerTube instance and is uploading my videos in full there. Not cool. Can't find a way to file a (perfectly valid, doubly so for impersonation) DMCA takedown, so I filed:

If you love old computers, trash, save icons, and near-death experiences, my video on restoring a retro computer (a 1991 Mac Classic that belonged to my Aunt) may be worth a watch:

It would be an easy W for AMD to full send open source for their GPU software stack in this interesting period where a bursting bubble would hurt all ships. having friends might help prevent *sinking* some of them.

So, I just got an update from @AMD and @GPUOpen about the FSR4 situation that occurred yesterday (8/20/25) with FSR4's Github repo debacle. AMD's Official Statement:.Some of our development code was posted on GPUOpen GitHub in error. It has since been taken down.

Tron ride at Disney World had an excellent launch / theming. and that was worth riding it once. My neck still feels it lol. Not sure how MotoGP racers sit in that position for more than like 30 seconds!

I missed the initial post here, but an amazing photo from space. And @PecosHank has a cool video going over sprites from the ground, good background on the phenomenon).

Just. Wow. As we went over Mexico and the U.S. this morning, I caught this sprite. Sprites are TLEs or Transient Luminous Events, that happen above the clouds and are triggered by intense electrical activity in the thunderstorms below. We have a great view above the clouds, so

Few places on earth you can walk inside an intestine, go buy a stick of squishy stress poop, and head to a session where a speaker flexes shirtless co-presenting with a model and burlesque dancer! #UOAA2025 #ostomyawareness (thanks to my wife for sticking with me haha) cc @UOAA

My smart home played me for a fool. Can a couple new Z-Wave accessories fix that? Sorta. Check out my video testing Home Assistant's new Long Range Z-Wave radio.

Someone reverse-engineered the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. And I got to play with this "not-a-Pico" edition Pi Zero 2. Video here, including some Lumafield scans I *wish* I could've posted earlier so I could've helped Jonathan with the effort!

Don't be like @ollama . and support Vulkan like llama.cpp and all the other open source tools do lol. though the whole "copy others' work without attribution" seems apropos in the AI/LLM space 🤪.

Kennedy Space Center is a bit expensive for a large family. The curse of trying to pick touristy things that don't break the bank!. Is it worth it for the kids who don't express as much interest in space/astronauts?.

Flash flooding led to multiple issues around St. Louis today. especially when a storm drain transformed into a geyser shooting water approximately 14 stories high! A fireman who arrived on the scene said it has happened before, but never this high. The water inside the drain

Minor flooding is ongoing in some areas across the St. Louis metro and SE MO from a line of very slow moving thunderstorms that will move east this afternoon. Expect water over the roadway in the worst areas, and never drive into flooded roads. #mowx #ilwx #stlwx #midmowx

This video from Polymatt is incredible. And not because he leads with my quote lol. I think to the FOSSF folks building spin coaters and stuff. incredible we can manufacture things today at home that were state of the art 30-40 years ago!.
