Is education a viable means of displacing religion? Is higher edu the institution we need to preserve and galvanize? It seems to me it is, almost pointedly at the peril of the boogie man’s code and comfort. You may argue it’s merely a new opiate, but it’s the prettiest one.

Honestly, if you're paying that close attention, just come over and count my underwear. You'll quickly realize YOU'RE the one wearing the same shit all of the time.
@merrittk
Part of me understands and appreciates this, and another part of me doesn’t believe it. When I NEEDED a job, I had one almost immediately. I transitioned to a better one within months, and a better one still in years. Multiple degrees should produce results given enough effort.
@katiehannigan
I love long locks on a woman, but I’ve also always liked the idea of an androgynous future, and never found short hair all that objectionable. It’s often just as nice, and sometimes nicer depending on facial features.
@philosophybites
The joke about getting an ‘A’ in existentialism for skipping class comes to mind; I wouldn’t read any philosophy at all. I’d be living.
@christapeterso
It was a smart answer. I believe in the gradation, if you like, but it’s hairy though, right? I mean, ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ were always profoundly fuzzy terms. So, anecdotally, I know I’m not always the “manliest” man in the room, but in so many ways I’m hyper-male. Words…
@LSDFridge
It only mobilizes the students (kids still, really), who took everything seriously, and are looking at college, particularly those making what’s called ‘early decision’. Study something lucrative (STEMS) at state college if you feel it was a waste.
@wesyang
Save for undergarments, I agree. This seems to be yet another privileged and ignorant American thing. No one is encouraging unhygienic behavior, but it’s actually unhealthy to bathe every day under many circumstances, for example.
@wesyang
I feel that Trump needed to face COVID squarely and transparently for that to have happened. The moment he tried to deny the severity and sidestep accountability, he dug his own grave. This is something most people learn in childhood/ adolescence.
@thecandaceshow
Initially, I was ready to agree w/ you and Shapiro a bit. Having viewed the clip you’re taking exception to, I really must say you’re ridiculous people. She seemed to respect the instrument and the opportunity. I saw nothing unsavory.

@JennMJacksonPhD
I don't think you're being fair. At worst, she's explaining the rationale. I'm sure as hell not anti-American, but it is useful to square up with our past, our shortcomings and our inadequacies.
@profgalloway
I’m far from an anti-vaxxer, but maybe it should be noted that this group is arguably the least threatened by the virus, and also the most impressionable. What percentage of this demographic thinks face tattoos are sorta neat?
@BrewedBlackGirl
A good lentil is tough to beat. Broccoli and cheddar is killer, a good tomato (w/ basil) is killer, a proper minestrone is mental, the lobster bisque is excellent as well. Chicken noodle is good, but tired. Pho is a'ight.
@muscleforlife
I don’t think you’re being serious, but I’ll field it: Because they’re people, mate. Not everyone has the same values, proclivities, resources etc. I value many of your values and see things similarly to you, but that doesn’t mean we ought to outright dismiss everyone else.
@nypost
It’s always best to avoid hurting feelings. With that said, why does fatness get a pass on criticism? People are quicker to defend this than they are other less malignant and objectionable immutable qualities.
@wesyang
The manner with which one carries their offspring is never appropriation (appropriation is largely BS), and is solely a matter of ergonomics. It’s not a statement, it’s utility. Anyone refuting that is out of their skull.
@SRuhle
But, when private companies have such a prominent presence in our public lives and form a, sort of, plebiscite, there is certainly cause for pause when they begin censoring they way that they have recently.
@christapeterso
@thisisfoster
Like, none of that tracks. Church is uncomfortable because it’s absurd and bizarre communal formality and fabrication. As for the department store discomfort, IDK, it’s certainly entirely unrelated.
