Incredibly excited to share this paper with the community! Congratulations authors including @DrMartyTaylor, @dfhoyosg, @ArthurZalevsky, the amazing team at @rome_tx led by Donna Romero, @macro_momo, @bengrbm, Eddy Arnold @RutgersU, Matthias Götte @UAlberta, & @KathleenHBurns.
So excited to share our story revealing structures, functions and adaptations of the human LINE-1 retrotransposon, an ancient genetic parasite that has written 1/3 of the human genome and is implicated in cancer, aging, & autoimmunity. Now out in @Nature

Congratulations all authors, particularly @dgvjayS @neeleshsoni03 @JoshHutchings94 who led this heroic effort on the first molecular model of the NPC nuclear basket. Out now in @CellCellPress.
Our work on the architecture and model of the #NuclearBasket is now out @CellCellPress. @HHMINews, @IntActOme #NPC #teamtomo .A short tweetorial follows

In a great collaboration with @HummerLab and the Kräusslich lab, @jpkreysing, @MaziarHeidari1, @VojtechZila and others tackle what happens when HIV capsid goes through an NPC. Instead of the NPC cracking the capsid, the capsid appears to crack the NPC (@MPIbp @CiidHeidelberg).

(1/2) #nuclearpores facilitate rapid changes in nuclear size in response to osmotic stress. This is relevant under changing environmental conditions. Work @pc_hoffmann Henry Kim @aobarska and others in collaboration with @HummerLab now online:.

Check out this great work led by @BarakRaveh, a first of its kind, integrative spatiotemporal map of the NPC explains the main molecular mechanisms underlying nuclear transport! A NCDIR @IntActOme special with our friends @salilab_ucsf, @DavidCowburn1 and @TheVillaLab.
New year, new manuscript! Our work on mapping transport between the nucleus and the cytoplasm is now on BioRxiv, and it's time to embark on a journey through the nuclear pore complex. Nuclear what? Bear with me!.
