@nytimes Dear American audiences and press: Let's stop falling for folks who are effective attention-gamers on the socials and mistaking their attention-gaming skills for actual records of achievements & demonstrated expertise in real life. Give more credit to folks with the latter.

@TimAlberta The civil rights movement was largely organized and executed thru Black church congregations, was it not? We can debate about political organizing in churches, but we have a long history of it occurring. Civil rights movement might not have happened without Black churches

She "came to play" "Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson did something remarkable for a junior justice: She established herself as a distinctive voice on the court...the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, wasted no time." #SCOTUS Via @adamliptak

@matthewjdowd Frank Luntz is a long time Republican pollster (not well-respected in the industry regarding his methods. Use Google on that) who helped GOP strategists CRAFT the political messaging tactics of DEMONIZING Democrats and leveraging/exploiting biases against certain groups

@cwebbonline So, David Ignatius praises VP Kamala Harris's career accomplishments and says he *wishes* she'd get more "traction", but then demonstrates he sure as hell isn't willing to give her any in this segment. "Humina humina humina" Just baffling to white men, isn't it

@SquawkCNBC @jpmorgan People, political journalists, and pundits have only recently started reporting on MAGA voters' values and motivations more accurately. We still see only a few who report explicitly about one of MAGA's motivating factors, which is animosity against changing demographics in U.S.

@NRO Everyone can read the president's Jan 26th statement for themselves below. Pres. Biden is willing to sign the bipartisan package negotiated in the Senate, with lead negotiator Senator Lankford (R-Oklahoma). House Speaker Johnson has vowed to block it at the request of Trump.

@TheRickWilson @RobertBabecki THANK YOU! I've tried to draw attention to HOW SIGNIFICANT a factor it is that the right-wing media sector has way more collective *amplification might*, and there is no collective counterbalance voice with equal power. MSM newsrooms are not, because they *neutralize everything*

@RonFilipkowski @nancylevine Who wrote this drivel that attempts to equate things that are substantially DIFFERENT? The Trump-Pence Admin and Biden-Harris Admin operate DIFFERENTLY. Anyone who is genuinely concerned about good public governance helps us DIFFERENTIATE things with their analysis Not muddle

@atrupar Similar vibe with @DanaBashCNN interview of Gov. Whitmer this morning on @CNNSOTU Every question to Whitmer could be translated as: "Are you SURE you don't want to diss on President Biden in SOME way?" Multiple questions with basically that angle. Political press = BROKEN
