New from me: Fox News HAD the story of Trump's hush money payoffs to Stormy Daniels BEFORE the election but killed it because the reporter said she was told, "Good reporting Kiddo, but Rupert Murdoch wants Donald Trump to win. So set it aside." Reporter sued, is bound by an NDA.
And so it was - a classmate who heard about it at the time told me he has thought of it every time he's heard Kavanaugh's name - for the last 35 years!
Elaine Chao's resignation, and her husband Mitch McConnell's break with Trump bring to mind what Ruth Ben-Ghiat, authoritarian expert, and author of "Strongmen" calls "The phenomenon of elite defection in the end, when their personal safety is in peril."
I just talked with a 'dead' voter. She's alive & well, charming & sharp at 96. The president's campaign said James E. Blalock had voted even though he died in 2006. It wasMrs. James E. Blalock. She voted legally against Trump. She first voted for FDR. Intvw shortly
@11AliveNews
Thinking today about the unusual $1m that Trump’s PAC gave to Mark Meadows’ nonprofit, The Conservative Partnership Institute. What motivated that whopping gift?
So,
@TheNewYorker
reported, instead of recusing, Clarence Thomas was the only vote to block the Jan6 committee from getting Trump's papers. Mark Meadows filed a supporting brief. And Ginni's texts to Meadows were at stake. via

Odd. Jacob Wohl says he doesn't know nuttin' about Surefire Intelligence, the firm tied to the bizarre Mueller allegations. Take a look at the photos below of Mathhew Cohen, head of 'Surefire,' and of Jacob Wohl.
Actually, no. Every interview I’ve ever done with

The day after Thanksgiving is notorious in the media as the single best time to bury bad news. At the Wall Street Journal they'd save crummy pieces for months to bury then. Don't let this story get snuffed out- too important!
New: Fox reporter Diana Falzone's lawyer Nancy Erica Smith has issued a statement demanding that Fox release her from her NDA so she can talk about getting the Stormy Daniels story before the 2016 election.
Lawmakers have just added a provision to the National Defense Authorization Act protecting Supreme Court spouses from having to reveal any outside employer, in the name of security. If it passes, Ginni Thomas’s professional entanglements would effectively be state secrets.
The
@Newyorker
can confirm this: Sen. Chris Coons personally alerted FBI Dir. Chris Wray of an additional eyewitness alleging Kavanaugh exposed himself to a 2nd woman at Yale- but the FBI never interviewed the witness, Max Stier, or investigated it.
Nearly 40 percent of Kentucky’s state budget is federal funding from Washington, making it the 4th-most dependent state on outside funds according to a 2017 study.
The last story
@RonanFarrow
and I teamed up on exposed NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of sexual misconduct, resulting in his resignation under 3 hours later. He was one of Trump's most effective Democratic foes.
One additional detail: Clarence Thomas is The Godfather to Clint Bolick’s child, and Bolick’s wife is the AZ lawmaker who Ginni Thomas pressured to overturn the 2020 election. No conflicts of interest?
Just a reminder: In 1904 Germany kicked out Trump's grandfather Friedrich Trump, forcing him to emigrate to America because he'd ducked required military service.
Manhattan D.A. Cyrus Vance’s office now responding to Trump’s pardon saying it “underscores the urgent need to hold Mr. Manafort accountable for his crimes against the people of New York as alleged in our indictment,” and “we will continue to pursue our appellate remedies.”
Interestingly, though Kavanaugh's team scrambled to find someone who would call Ramirez a liar, no one did. I interviewed the Yale friend they produced, and when pressed, she declined to say Ramirez was lying, or was politically motivated.
NEW: Texts between friends of Kavanaugh, "suggest that the nominee was personally talking with former classmates about Ramirez’s story in advance of the New Yorker article that made her allegation public."
Steele's opposition to Trump was based on his investigation, which unearthed alarming, and myriad ties between America's future president and Russia's corrupt rulers. Calling that a bias is like saying the FBI is biased against crime.
Predictable character assassination from a partisan hack. Forget this forgettable hit piece. If you really want to educate yourself about Steele and his memo, read

And Max Stier is no slouch of a witness- he is a Rhodes Scholar, Stanford Law grad, fmr. Supreme Court Clerk, runs a bipartisan center for public service and is the star of Michael Lewis’ last book.
“A classmate, Max Stier, saw Mr. Kavanaugh with his pants down at a different drunken dorm party, where friends pushed his penis into the hand of a female student. Mr. Stier notified senators and the F.B.I. but the F.B.I. did not investigate”
FYI, this means only 4 classmates are keeping their names on a statement disputing Ramirez, and two are implicated in the incident, according to her, and a third one is married to the guy who she recalls saying, "kiss it" at the party.
A good example of why we need a Code of Judicial Ethics for the Supreme Court. Clarence Thomas should recuse himself from any decisions in areas where his wife has been an activist presence.
The owner of the $238 million apt., Ken Griffin, switched from Dem to GOP after Dems tried to crack down on hedge fund tax breaks - clearly he needed the government help! Charles Koch thanked him in 2011 for giving $1 million to the Kochs' political fund -- all in Dark Money.

Repeating myself and others here, but the reason Lindsey Graham won't get tested despite having been exposed to many COVID+ people is because if he reveals a positive test and has to quarantine the Amy Coney Barrett nomination could get scuttled. There is no other logical reason.

Hatch refers to Ramirez’ allegation in NYer as “phony.” We asked why he’s calling it “phony.” He responds: “Because I know it is. That’s why.” When asked whether Ford allegation is also phony, Hatch: “I think she’s sincere, at least I hope so. But I think she’s sincerely wrong.”
Trump and advisers calculated that he shouldn’t speak to the nation because he had nothing to say, no tangible policy or action to announce, nor did he feel an urgent motivation to try to bring people together. So he let his tweets speak for themselves.
