So, for the time capsule segment in
#Census2022
tonight, I'm going to mention my daughter who was stillborn when we lived in the US.
She doesn't exist officially elsewhere, and I'd like her to be remembered.
Her name was Lauren, and she will be remembered forever.
The local bishop in Waterford decrying Taylor Swift as an awful sinful influence at my youngest's Confirmation was a hilarious and awkward moment to say the least.
My gravely ill QPR loving uncle Michael got an unexpected visit from
@AndySintonQPR
&
@PJMorrissey77
- & was invited by them to
@QPR
's home game vs Rotherham as the clubs guest!
He's really delighted to say the least!
Thank you, Andy & Paul and all at
@QPR
!
The fact that Peadar Toibin is backing up Sonia O'Sullivan on her stance regarding trans athletes tells you everything that you need to know about their stances.
Spotted this....a spectacular composite shot of the Rose Fitzgerald bridge near New Ross and the Milky Way arcing upwards, taken last night. Photo by Trevor Quinn.
You definitely need to click on this one..
My uncle, who's terminally ill, is going to QPR today. Despite the health risks involved, I'm delighted for him, as quite frankly, you need to have some joy in life.
Particularly when everything else is so grim. Fingers crossed for an excellent day out for him.

Know the feeling, Dara - have done the same since the summer.
Little luck weather wise for the conjunction, but did take this early Sunday morning.
GOES West caught the eruption in it's images as well. Truly a terrifying event. I know there was a tsunami from this too. I hope there aren't many casualties.

Not sure that people over here in Europe are realising how damaging those anti veteran remarks are to Donald Trump. If there's one thing that unites most Americans, it's that extremely deep reverence for its armed forces. This will run and run until Election Day.
So while on the way home this evening.... this flew out just in front of me, outside of Bunmahon. If I'd been a few tens of meters ahead, it'd have hit me as I drove past.
Wild out here on the Waterford coast...
Got up early this image to get my last image of

- it'll dive too close to the Sun for us to see from Ireland from now on (and the weather forecast is poor for the next while).

As these objects are so far away - the foreground cluster itself is 4.6 billion light years away, any proper motion is imperceptible. The field will look exactly the same tens of thousands of years from now.
@CarlowWeather
Will be nice and bright - and on view for months, so no biggie if anyone doesn't spot it tonight.
This was the view in my 8" telescope on Saturday night.
The sound pressure wave from the 5 F-1 engines on the 1st stage of the Saturn V was so intense that during its 1st launch in Nov 1967 (Apollo 4), it collapsed the roof of the CBS broadcasting booth where Cronkite was covering the launch.
The booth was 5 miles away from the pad!
The appalling Home Office tweets are a reminder that they're coming for all EU citizens - and that means us Irish too. Don't kid yourselves that we're going to be treated specially in any way. This is the way the UK is now.
My best ever Mars image - the Mariner Valley is that dark bit on the lower right, and Olympus Mons is the bright small circular dot left of center at the 10 o'clock position!
Always a tough morning saying goodbye to a loved one. Good to see family, even in awful circumstances.
Did leave a Crunchie at my mother's grave this morning. She used to demand the one from my Selection Box as a kid...and well, traditions have to be upheld.
Some of the best

pics I took of tonight's display.
First northern lights with structure that I've seen since Oct 2003. Am delighted - I've missed it.
Out of the relegation zone - amazing turn around led by

You wouldn't expect anything else from a favoured son of the Loft. 😉
@WaterfordFCie
Just had a blazing row with a guy who plumped himself in my booked seat on the 1735 Heuston-Waterford train - he refused to move, I refused to back down.
I won. He's now been moved from seat to seat as people turn up to claim their booked seats. 🤣
The poor sods on the Stena Europe Rosslare-Fishguard ferry, sheltering from the worst of

off the Waterford coast here at Dunabrattin.
Used to take this ferry a lot up to 2019 when I moved home, didn't think the next time I saw it would be from my house..
