A regal landmark from MOSAIC MOON, an action RPG with a focus on experiencing cultures. Where will you go next?
The water shader adds no new colors. Just distorts the surface and pushes around two highlight tones.

Hey, I'm Prism! I specialize in

@Gazedsoul
I thought the original tweets from the devs were ridiculously out of touch (astonishingly tone deaf coming from Ubisoft and Guerrilla devs), but it’s gotten to the point where there’s this massive backlash over like two short tweets; feels like it might be blown out of proportion
Here's a Detective Adventure game!

It's an original story inspired by classic cinema, with gameplay inspired by classics like Famicom Detective Club and Hotel Dusk. Stay tuned...
A logo start-up screen! For any game I create on my own, this'll be used. Imagine any appropriate jingle until I actually have one. Thank you to

Saving judgement ‘til I see it, but the big appeal of Ghibli style (for me) is the flat, pastel colors of the characters contrasting against naturalistic, detailed paintings. This movie doesn’t have that trait - the rendering’s all equal. Glad people are enjoying it, though!
Here's a arcade gamedev project I started a while back for coding practice - it's called "Hurry up, Apple Boy!"

It's food time! But better yet, it's charity time.
Helping Horizons is doing another mini-cookbook with its proceeds going to charity - this time, it's going to children's resources in South Texas in light of recent tragedies.

Character Redux, part 2. Even though the dress design is simpler, having the resolution to fit more face and hair detail is nice.

I would recommend checking out Pixel's Piyo Piyo Player. It's a simple music player that only plays Pixel's older proprietary music format, but the download includes a lot of his tracks from 1998 and 1999. Here's an example.
Reworking the graphical style of a project of mine. The thing is, I made the old one only a few months ago, so I don't think my skillset changed much in that time. I was in a different (art) state of mind that led to a different result or something.

The translation itself is not piracy. You can acquire a copy legally and patch it in. That second sentence is also a huge reach.

Use of hard brushes at first, then soft brushes with large falloff afterwards. The end result should have both hard and soft edges, with lots of backlights.

Yeah, ultimate control gets boring more quickly. Being one participant of many not only allows for more interesting scenarios, but also feels more in-line with what making a proper community feels like. The role as a villager is more involved.
Your computer is a record of your digital travels; the files you download are mementos. The specific files you’ve collected make your computer individualized.
I sort of fell out of making consistent pixel art pieces around the middle of 2021. I should really get back into that.
I just hope periods of inactivity don’t affect any algorithmic reach or whatnot.
Games would benefit a lot from charting out mechanics first instead of thinking in terms of genres. The basis of a 2D platform perspective is...just the camera projection. Everything else could be whatever the developer wants! Too many assumptions are just grandfathered in.
Once again, additional credit to
@SpawnWaveMedia
, whose teardown served as a primary reference to make this pixel teardown. His video solved a lot of mysteries for me. (though some still endure, admittedly)
By the way, I'm one of the artists working on a new adventure game:

. It's slated for release in 2024, so check it out and wishlist it!
When YouTubers have a foreign name or word in their scripts, instead of saying “I’m probably butchering this” I think it’d be more applaudable if they did some research into the pronunciation. The self awareness of pronouncing it wrong isn’t as good as an earnest attempt.
@tombeckettcat
@qpringledev
You keep using words like “deserve” or “dictate” or “shame” but I’m not implying anything of the sort. This isn’t a discussion about something owed to anybody, and I think that’s a strange lens to view this through.
All of those things you mentioned are legitimate counterpoints.
@BriHardGaming
I'm really glad to see people have the same reaction. It's such a giant missed opportunity for the Amano look to shine - I like Nomura designs, but all of his designs post FFXIII seem to be getting more boring.
@LuigiBlood
Everything Piko was saying just came off as incredibly tone deaf and unprofessional. The whole objective of their company seems at odds with morality.
We have the ability in 2020 to make games that look like late 1990s prerenders. This should happen, particularly with the look Serge has in Chrono Cross cutscenes.
@adamfergusonart
A group project well completed! 😎 I made the light rays on the tree, the player sprites, and coded the title / sprite animations in Unity. Adam really killed it with the backdrop being the cornerstone of the piece.
“Law and order” is a term perverted by authoritarian motives, but the lack of it is how we got here. There’s no law or order in police abusing black citizens; nor when those same authorities are failed to be held accountable. Once that standard is gone, this is the result.
@tombeckettcat
@qpringledev
You’re relying too much on assumptions. All of those things are things you’re projecting into the original post - If my intention was just to help spread appreciation for the original fan effort, something I care deeply about, that’s not shaming of any sort.
Individuality is gone from online communities and personal computing. I wish we could bring it back. Give me a lame Cloud Strife-themed Winamp any day over a standardized Spotify; give me a specialized, detailed web forum over some guy's discord server...
[1/4] For games that have NPC affinity levels, a lot of the rewards for max affinity are things like new flavor text (where laud you a bit) or loot. But I think there can be better, more interactive ways for this to be implemented.
@Trick_Siebzehn
The thing that strikes me about the new one is that there’s no loss in detail, but huge boosts in readability and rendering quality. Very clean, and it shows an interesting way to improve - you developed skills in a way that feels innovative.
@16pxl
When a client offered me worthwhile prices for the first time, I realized all the times I worked for well under minimum wage. If an artist’s prices are cheaper, they’re gonna get more jobs, sure. But that also leads to spreading themselves thin for money that isn’t worth it.

When Etika was hospitalized for his last breakdown, I can't help but feel the hospital was negligent...they discharged a man who clearly and tragically needed treatment...This is absolutely heartbreaking.
True law and order is a world where peace reigns supreme, and the police serve the community - not terrorize it.
What will it take to get there? I can only dream.
