Irish public money was used to fund Israel's genocide in Gaza. Not only that, but the level of spending on Israeli war bonds increased last year - to €3.6 million. This is outrageous. How could this happen while tens of thousands of people were being slaughtered in Gaza?

Govt has bottled it on alcohol labelling. Only 38% of people in Ireland are aware of the link between alcohol and cancer. Deferring health labelling on alcohol has the hallmarks of industry lobbying taking precedence over public health. @sineadgibney .

This Government are epic wasters. Govt spending has increased by 50% in just a few years and what do we have to show for it? . A housing disaster, threadbare disability services and a deepening cost of living crisis.

Parents are being pushed to the limit just to get their children through the school gates in September. Some families are even getting into debt to cover the rising costs. Govt must act to make education in Ireland genuinely free. @JenCumminsTD .

The govt's last action before the summer recess is to ram through legislation to reduce apartments standards. These standards will allow developers to build modern day high-density tenements. It's a deeply cynical move – and it won't help solve the housing crisis.

Children are waiting 6, 9, even 13 years for primary care like psychological services. It is utterly unacceptable. Early intervention can change lives. This crisis wasn’t just ignored by this Govt— it was deepened by staffing caps and recruitment embargoes.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the Social Democrats. An apt time for some of our public representatives to look back over their favourite memories. #SocDemsAt10

€250k in public funds have been used to help Irish dairy companies peddle dubious products in markets with loose regulation. Exporting huge volumes of ‘milk’ powders to West Africa is harming economic and health outcomes there, plus our climate goals.

Gov claims it wants action on Gaza and the occupied territories. But visas requests for 33 children from the West Bank, to visit Ireland for two weeks, is denied. These kids live under occupation and daily trauma. Why isn’t the Govt doing anything to sort this out?

"Mental disorder" is outdated and has no place in modern mental health discourse. Govt voted down an amendment to replace this term with "mental health difficulties", which more accurately describes severe psychological states. Govt continues to ignore best practice in policy.

The Housing Minister is continuing to cook the books, when it comes to affordable home delivery, in a desperate attempt to flatter his record, according to @RoryHearneGaffs. “No attempts to massage figures, or cook the books, can hide Govt failure.”.

The start of excavation work in Tuam is an important milestone in the long campaign for truth and justice. We must never forget the appalling treatment of survivors of mother and baby homes by religious orders - with State complicity. @Aidan_Farrelly_ .

Our sprat stocks are being overfished, and we can't tell how damaging that will be. Sprat are utterly invaluable; the future of our fish, whales, dolphins and seabirds depend on them. We need a formal stock take of sprat now - we cannot afford to lose this species.

Simply reviewing the powers of the consumer protection watchdog won't bring grocery prices down. Families are struggling to keep their heads above water in this cost of living crisis. They don't need another review. They need the govt to give the watchdog some teeth

Almost a year ago, the government promised to evacuate thirty sick children from Gaza for treatment in Ireland. To date, only twelve of these children have arrived. Government must ensure the remaining children are evacuated to Ireland as quickly as possible.

Last-minute govt amendments and an unwillingness to accept any opposition amendments have undermined years of work on the Mental Health Bill. The Bill in key parts now contravenes the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities. @LiamQuaide .
